BBM. I'm hoping that LE has some leads about where the children might be and with whom. An Amber Alert could very well put the youngsters in danger if whoever has them willingly accepted the children knowing that their mother had been murdered. I suspect that, if Kaylah and Kristian are still alive, they are probably no longer in Michigan. Justice had plenty of time to take the children out of state (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio) and leave them with relatives before he flew to Atlanta. :moo:
I hadn't thought about an Amber Alert putting the children in danger. If a relative of EJ does have them, they may not know what happened to their mother if they live out of state. Who knows what EJ told them -- maybe that he was taking his wife on vacation.
It's clear that the criteria for an Amber Alert varies by state/district. An Amber Alert is still in effect for Relisha Rudd of Washington, D.C. She was reported missing after missing several days of school. The last person she was seen with was a janitor from the shelter where her family lives, seen only on surveillance tape at another location, and he killed himself a few days later, after killing his wife. So, apparently no one knows where Relisha is or who she's with, but the AA is still active.
Also, TN issued an AA for Chloie Leverette and Gage Daniel who disappeared after a fire at their grandparents' house. No one even knows whether they are still alive. Authorities at first assumed they perished in the fire with their grandparents and the family pets, but were baffled at not finding any remains of the children. IIRC, it was a few days after the fire when the AA was issued and it's still in effect although it states that the "suspect" and vehicle are unknown.
So, it's clear that there are no universal guidelines for issuing AA's across the nation, which IMO there should be. But, maybe LE has just decided, for a reason they alone know, in this case that an AA would be counterproductive. Let's hope that's the case and that they do have some clues to work with.

BTW, there are TOO many people missing when I have to go to page 3 to find Kayla and Kristian's thread, and people have posted on the thread TODAY. :tears:
