I also read an update that Coleman confessed he began the sexual abuse of his daughter when she was 2 months old. Yes, you read that correctly.

Where did you read that? Was it on a forum or in the Newspaper? I thought I had read all of the articles, but I didn't see that one. He just needs to be locked up forever. I am going to ask my friend--whose friend is married to a judge in Jackson, what the deal is. I really do want to know why he was let out on bail.

Hi, Jean-did you get a chance to ask your friend? I read a blog called Souther Sass where he quoted the...hmm, what's the word, warrant? charge sheet? The abuse began August 26, 2007, and at that point the angel-baby was just 8 weeks old. I have to believe that the DA was hamstrung by what charges he/she could level and then there was a maximum bail attached to that. I think there was a GREAT argument for keeping this bottom feeder in without allowing bail, but I don't know that this was asked for by the DA. Get us any information that you can...every day that he walks around free is one day too many in my opinion.

Haven't talked to my friend yet--she is out of town until Tuesday. I will call her when she returns. It will probably take her a few days after that before she will have any info. to pass on to me. Her friend will have to get the info. from her judge husband and then pass it on to my friend. lol

Just an update on the Jackson, Mi. Kirk Coleman trial. He plead guilty to first degree child abuse, faces 5 years max. Sexual assault charges were dropped,( he was accused of raping/beating his weeks old daughter almost to death. The defense and prosecution agreed there could have been more than one person, however the prosecutor doesn't believe that, just went along because her case was not ironclad.
Rape an infant,dang near kill one, leave her permanently brain damaged, and get 5 years. What a stinking, lousy crock of crap justice Baby B was just handed.

My heart is broken-this freakin' crime should have gone to trial...the DA wimped out. What kind'a parties was the man holdin while his wife was working that his month old child was brutalized by someone...his family has the goods on someone high up....no question in my mind because they bailed him out, he was walking around town without harrassment until he was locked up by some judge with sense....i think the judge should have thrown the deal OUT.

yeah 5 years and who knows if he will even serve the whole time. Our justice system is so screwed up, I have seen someone get much longer sentences for way smaller offenses. Makes me so mad I could scream.

No kidding I saw a documentry on prison the other day and this woman got 30 years for doing and selling meth. She has to serve at least 18. She has three kids that she is now worried about and wants to be with. It is too bad she didn't think about them first but still this guy is getting away with raping a baby with 5 years while we send petty druggies to prison for 30 years, WTH?

I just put some old pictures of Baby B in the hospital up, hoping enough citizens in Michigan will get angry, and support Judge McBain's attempt to go outside sentencing guidelines.
It's politics...the hatred between Dennis Hurst and Judge McBain goes back to the mid-70's.
A baby gets zero justice because of politics...makes me sick. At least McBain has scruples and ethics.

This is from February. Coleman wrote two notes saying he was responsible for the baby's injuries.

I don't post here often, but do read a lot of the posts...the cases of these devils raping tiny infants just get to me. Something is causing it...maybe when they were chldren they were prescribed, and took, drugs for ADHD ?
