Anyone see that one picture of Nevaeh? The one with dark, uncombed hair.. blank stare, blank expression, hint (or more) of sadness in her eyes? It contrasts a lot with the other images we see of graduation, prof. photo.. She looks abused or neglected. I want that mother and grandmother deeply investigated. Kids don't look that way in photos normally... something's wrong.

In a somber news conference Wednesday, FBI agents acknowledged that the odds of finding a missing child alive dwindle as the hours pass.

Nevaeh Buchanan was last seen at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Macomb Street in Frenchtown, 40 miles south of Detroit.

Lead FBI Agent Andy Arena said investigators have seized "a number of pieces" of potential evidence and sent them to a crime lab since the girls' disappearance. He would not say what the pieces were or who has been questioned in connection with the case.

However, Local 4 learned a bloody fishing knife was found in Kennedy's motel room.

Officials would not comment on the knife Wednesday. It has been sent to the MSP crime lab and could take several days to test the DNA.

Also, investigators have visited the homes of all the sex offenders in the area.

Hi Angel Who Cares, It is good to have you posting along with us. You do a remarkable job here at WS and want to thank you for that.

I noticed in this article they mention a bloody fishing knife knife was found in the unsub's room which has been sent for testing. On the video from the local station that reporter almost corrected himself saying there was a multitool with human blood on it found in tool box in his van.

I wonder if they found 2 knives or if it is accidental creative journalism? :confused:

It is very possible it was just accidentally said that way. :waitasec: I'll check what the local news here says in the morning, about the items found & try to clarify what was taken into evidence. It should be better sorted out & expanded on by morning.

If she isn't found by the weekend & I pray that she is found before that.....I plan on going to help in searches for her.
It hurts that so many others are more alarmed about her being around a known SO, than her own mother...If you can call her one...:furious:

I am praying for that, joyce D. I am sure Neveah's mother (if you can call her that) had to give LE a DNA sample to compare.

This was not supposed to be around children so I hope he will have another parole violation and LE can keep him locked up where he should be.
 
Hi, I read a link at In Session from the local paper saying GK has an alibi attested to by 2 people and is no longer a POI in the case, and that the other 2 men they were holding have also been cleared.

It is back to square one~

I'll hold off on a comment about that :mad:. He is still in custody on the PO violation. My c & p is not working this am or I would have brought the link over. xox

This article says 6:30 pm. Where did the 8 pm time frame come from?

New Evidence in Nevaeh Buchanan Case

After candles burned Wednesday night at a community vigil for missing 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan, police are now examining disturbing evidence taken from the motel room of a "person of interest" that may be linked to her disappearance.

The new evidence included in the search warrant came from the residence of 39-year-old George Kennedy. He's a friend of the little girl's mother and a registered sex offender.

Investigators seized shorts, a towel with blood stains, samples of blood from the wall above the bathroom sink, photos of a white female similar to Nevaeh and hairs from the toilet and bathroom floor.

Kennedy's Van was also searched. Inside, investigators found fishing weights and a silver multi-tool with blood on it.

So far, no arrests have been made and no charges are pending.

I would imagine that it's someone's blood on that fishing knife ~ more than likely.

There is a field test they can do to detect human blood as opposed to animal blood. I wonder would they waste resources and money testing objects that did not have human blood on them?

Not sure if I posed that question correctly, not enough coffee this morning yet. I hope I got my meaning across.

Mom noticed her missing at sixish and didn't call cops until 8:15ish.

In between six and eight she called Kennedy and had him help her look (hinky. hinky. hinky.)
 
Ok, I just found out that grandma is a cashier at Foodtown (grocery store) in Monroe, I can't believe how the rumor pool first stated that she worked as a 911 opr.

My sister's stepson, who is now grown, has molested at least 2 of his younger half brothers....when he himself was a kid. Turns out his dumbass mother used to let some old man at church take him on camping trips when he was a teeny little boy of 3 or 4. His mom said this man "loved" children and didn't have any of his own.
Okay, cut to now...I mentioned the stepson to my sister.....she thinks he "is over that" and is not a child molester. She honestly thinks this young man, who was caught red handed, molesting 2 of his half brothers is "over that." She really does believe that.
There are many women who really do believe that I guess.
I'm not one of those women.
