Here in South Dakota we have two kinds of weather....snow and snowless

Going to the movies with mom. Looks like it will pour rain on us, no storms to worry about just a nice soaking steady pour.

ok summer! come out come out wherever you are! (checking in from northern IL) what sort of bent is Mother Nature on this year, anyhow?

Looks like we will be out of the worst of storms tonight and tomorrow. Actually had a day of nice weather, not cold or ridiculously hot. We've been robbed of a decent spring. I demand mother nature give us some great weather for a change.

rain rain rain, I'm sick of rain. I know IA is getting even more than us in the St Louis area but it comes downstream! Tons of flooding, many cancelled little league games and other outdoor events.
The grass loves it but it barely dries out enough to cut before more rain comes along.
The temps have been cooler which is great if you hate the heat.

There was no snow today, it was 84. Tomorrow, who knows. lol

A fine little mini-front - very small - bustled out of SW MO and through just a noodge of SE KS awhile ago before peppering us in NE OK with fifteen minutes of insistent rain. As none was expected and it had been mostly clear today, I thought the street sweeper was coming down the lane, sloshing away back and forth, or something. Nope. Rain.

Nice here today in central Ohio; high near 80

Tomorrow - scattered chance of strong storms

Scattered thunderstorms... possibly severe in the afternoon. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. High 84F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

...Wednesday, severe thunderstorms will reignite along a strong warm front from eastern Iowa, northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin into Indiana, southern Lower Michigan and Ohio. This could affect the Wednesday afternoon/evening commute in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit and possibly Cleveland. Damaging winds, large hail, some tornadoes, and local flash flooding from brief heavy rainfall are all threats.

Wednesday night, a cluster of severe thunderstorms, possibly in the form of a squall line with damaging straight-line winds, will sweep through this region as far east as southwest New York, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia. Cities in this late threat include Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio.

It's possible, though by no means certain, that thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night could congeal into a long-lived squall line called a "derecho" with a more widespread damaging wind threat in this region...

Unusually massive line of storms aim at Midwest

SETH BORENSTEIN, AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — A gigantic line of powerful thunderstorms could affect one in five Americans on Wednesday as it rumbles from Iowa to Maryland packing hail, lightning and tree-toppling winds.

Meteorologist are warning that the continuous line of storms may even spawn an unusual weather event called a derecho (duh-RAY'-choh), which is a massive storm of strong straight-line winds spanning at least 240 miles. Wednesday's storms are also likely to generate tornadoes and cause power outages that will be followed by oppressive heat, said Bill Bunting, operations chief at the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla.

The risk of severe weather in Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio, is roughly 45 times higher than on a normal June day, Bunting said. Detroit, Baltimore, Washington, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Louisville, Ky., have a risk level 15 times more than normal. All told, the area the weather service considers to be under heightened risk of dangerous weather includes 64 million people in 10 states...

DETROIT -
We will see storms moving in this afternoon and some of them will be strong to severe. Other than a quick, light showers through noon, it will be a warm and pleasant first half of the day before the storms roll in...

Appears the north mid-west, west eastern areas are going to get hit. Stay alert my friends.
