I think the bus ticket and Western Union transactions were a cover up to make it appear she was alive. IMO

Western Union, yes because wasnt it on the 24th or was that when her card was used?

This says that she physically purchased the ticket.

Hames says he thinks Maria was alone when she bought the ticket on Dec. 14th. He says she asked him if it would be OK for her to leave her car parked at the station, but drove away from the station that day.

IIRC the card was used recently. So I wonder if he is the one who used it to have money to run


She was due to leave next day, so I wonder if anyone saw her after this. Thinking not

Investigators have said a withdrawal from Lauterbach's bank account was made on December 14, and there was "suspicious activity" on the account 10 days later.

I don't think that Marie was ever friendly to her rapist after she was raped. I think that info came out of the rapists mouth. And out of the mouths of his friends. She had been harrased and threatened with her job and probably her life for almost 9 months. That probably resulted in her dropping the initial charges. Now she's guilty of making a false report. I'm sure that the real reason behind her pending discharge from the military. Any bank withdrawal after Marie disappeared was merely her murderer trying to make it appear she ran off. I'm sure him or someone close to him gave LE the western union info. That we now know is BS.

The uncle of Lance Corporal Maria Lauterbach says the Marine she accused of raping her -- and who's a suspect in her death -- was the father of her unborn child.

He says his niece had been forced to rent a room off base because of harassment at Camp Lejeune.

A source tells The Associated Press that the witness is Laurean's wife. Before fleeing today, Laurean is said to have given his wife a note that said Lauterbach cut her own throat. Laurean is also said to have stated in the note that he had nothing to do with Lauterbach's suicide.

hmmm.....the LE officer wouldn't 'rule out' the wife. There was also a great deal of blood evidence, in different areas of the home. From the garage to inside too. They also attempted to clean it up, including painting.

Fran, do you agree that the wife had to have know of this before the note? Im not in anyway saying that she had anything to do with it... but she had to have had some questions. She had to have known that Maria was missing and i would THINK she would have known about rape allegations against her husband? Maybe they were estranged because OF the rape allegations?
