Just FYI, Misty was kicked out of RON's house, not her own father's house, and had only recently been "allowed" to move back in with RC -and the kids. His story was that her drug use was out of control. [Note - heard from friend who heard it from my cousin's stepdaughter who is engaged to the brother of somebody in this drama.]

I don't know how that time line corresponds with him renting the most recent trailer which was also relatively recently.

Sorry that I didn't do a better job in my original post relaying this info.

[I am getting really ticked at NG, bitchN about no volunteers showing up to search w/RC. We were told by Sheriff NOT TO come to the area.]

LFlorida, I am going to be watching your MOST INTERESTING posts like a hawk! Please keep us posted.

I hear 4 voices in the 911 call. (Dispatcher, Misty, Ron, and a 'whining' noise) Is it just me?

I personally only hear 3. When do you hear the 4th? I have tried listenening to it repeatedly to see of RJ slept through all the yelling or if he woke up at any point. I wanna hear, too. lol.

(Are you sure the whiny voice isn't Misty's alter ego, little scared Misty?)

If I had a boyfriend for a few months, and during his watch, my daughter goes missing, and he can't seem to get his story straight...he would be gone. I think it's very interesting that despite the inconsistancies and the fact that they haven't been together that long, that those two are sticking together. I used to think it was only Misty who knows more than she is telling, but now after considering the circumstances of their relationship, I think the father has to be in as deep as her to keep Misty around.

bolded~~ the illinois case was Riley Fox and her dad Kevin.(i believe his name is)

Yes, and there was another one back in the 80's - I need to get looking. I forgot to look earlier. Everytime, I have driven on the 55 I always pass this exit to this town. And I just have to wonder about the Fox case as well.

Jaclyn Dowaliby - (Gone in The Night) IL
« Thread started on: Sep 14th, 2004, 08:07am »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Sept. 14, 1988 Jaclyn Dowaliby vanished in the night from her bedroom. Suspicion would fall on her mother Cynthia and David Dowaliby. Jaclyn's body was found five days later in a wooded area near an apartment complex. Her father was convicted of her murder but the sentence was later overturned and he was released. Later an uncle would come forward to say that he knew the full lay out of the house and described it as it would have looked the night Jaclyn vanished. The uncle was mentally ill and he had never been in the house before. He was never charged. To date, Jaclyn's murder remains unsolved.

Interesting! Let me ask you..are you buying the young innocent act she is putting on?

Oh to be in her mouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Yesssss, not in the tent with Ronald, but at her parents house where its warm and cozy....Poor thing, I'd hate to be that girl, gosh she must have as many friends as telia tequila by now

If this cousin is so bad, possibly a Crip gang member, and been in trouble all his life I can't see him throwing the gun in a ditch if he is really the one who took the thing. Maybe Misty took the gun somewhere then it mysteriously showed up in a ditch after Ron missed it. That, like the brick propping the door is something a female would do, not some crazed SO or lifelong Crip.

Bingo.

I've been too cowardly to pipe up much against the flow here, but my gut has been leading in a very different direction from most. (Not all; a few have made other great points in defense of Misty.)

First, the point you note is impossible to overlook. If she were acting suspiciously and he were innocent, then I don't think he would have had the turn-around from "stupid b1tch" to standing by her as he has. (Her going "home," and its being called "home," was completely natural imho.)

Second, 85% of the reasons people have been giving for suspecting her simply do not look suspicious to me. (Sorry everyone! :blowkiss: )

Third, having observed his temper and treatment of Misty, I see Ron as both manipulative and frighteningly volatile. (imo)

Between that, the age difference, and finally finding out today that Misty was "messed with" by her cousin, I've been even more convinced that this is a pretty classically abusive situation. (It could be mental/emotional abuse, but I think he has her living in fear of him.)

I think that is the biggest thing going on. It even explains her less than clear thinking (see the patterns and psychology of victims).

I also think it's a big reason why the police are interviewing her so much - they know she would be easier to break than Ron, and I would bet a lot that they are interrogating her to learn about Ron as much as herself.

Does this mean I think Ron is guilty? No. I am still unsure - it could be that Misty knows more than she is saying (that we know of), or that both are innocent or both are guilty. I don't know.

I just felt like I needed to speak up in defense of Misty in general, in light of the comments and very quick suspicions of her compared to Ron. :o

Well,it's the inconsistencies of her stories, the lack of the truth of who was there that night. Now she says he was at the house earlier that night.I've seen the pics with her and him on his sister's myspace from Easter and why would you let "ANYONE" around a little girl if you've been a victim of sexual abuse by this pervert? He was there two weeks earlier with an argument w/RC,kicked out, then he shows up after RC goes to work at the trailer?I think her lack of telling the truth before,is not to defend RC,but her cousin,IMO.But,because the truth is coming out,I feel she has to make a statement.Just saying...

I also don't think she's afraid of anyone,in The Today Show this morning, she seemed to be having more of an attitude, losing the scared little girl personna.Which,I'm glad of,we need to see how she really is,examine her behavior when answering questions.Even the Bio Mom,seemed totally out of it,zoned out at first, people thought she didn't care.I think she's been in shock and now she's starting to become probably more like herself and getting her bearings.I think the Bio Mom is getting a clearer picture of what might have happened.I don't think fear would be in her or especially her Mom's vocabulary if they felt Jr would be in danger of RC.They seem to be pointing towards MC.
