Thats how it is stated until exact TOD is determined. Basically as of that minute it is the only "for sure" time. It will change.

This poor beautiful child with his wonderful smile. RIP Barway. :(

One thing that has popped into my mind from the beginning as a little odd. When he is on the school van, he verbally notes that its his dad and his uncle. When he gets off the bus, he didnt make attempts to go towards them- he actually went to the building. For it to seemingly be noteworthy that his dad and uncle were there, it is a little strange that he didnt go them. Makes you wonder if he has an "off-viibe" or he wanted to get away from them and inside. If I saw my mom outside my bus stop, I would go to her when I got off. That just always struck me as being a little off.

I've slowly driven through that apartment complex area 3 times now. It is very cozy and has this 'everyone knows everyone' and 'everyone sees everything' feel about it. The first time I drove through, in the first days of Barway's disappearance, I believe I saw the normal pattern of the residents strolling around outside - there were maybe 8-10 (all black) adults strolling out in the parking lot area, in 1's and 2's.

If I was Barway, I can see that maybe he was excited to get to his apartment so he could see his sweet mom and two little brothers? Maybe Barway was more bonded to this new stepmom of his and enjoyed having 2 little brothers.

But, like TC_MN said, Barway does go peek in the door at first, right? And then is about to enter, tho', from the other door - wonder why...

THE (NEXT) CRYSTAL POLICE PRESS CONFERENCE CAN BE VIEWED LIVE ONLINE - IT'S AT 0430pm central time (17 minutes from now): http://www.kare11.com/

I am guessing that Chief Revering will have officers standing behind her again, and will pointedly be making some statements aimed at turning the screws to Pierre Collins and unnerve him. If Pierre Collins is the murderer (solely, or with 'Uncle'), based on what I've seen of Pierre Collins, I don't think Pierre Collins will ever 'fess up' and admit that he did murder his son.

I also feel kinda haunted by the video where the reporter is telling Pierre Collins a little body's been found in the River: Look at the 3 men behind Pierre Collins, likely close friends - they all seem to be startled and looking at Pierre, as if to say, 'Could it be possible that Pierre did murder his son and lied to us all?'

FROM THE PRESS CONFERENCE - THIS IS HOMICIDE !

Police chief says Barway Collins' father still the primary suspect. Considering this a homicide investigation. pic.twitter.com/bzz1IrUZoL

dang it I missed it. Finally found the livestream on star tribune just in time for the officer to say thank you guys I appreciate it and walk away from the mic :(

Can someone give me a quick run down. Seems like it was pretty brief. Did they just confirm ID officially? Or was further info provided? Thanks

FROM THE PRESS CONFERENCE: PIERRE COLLINS IS THE PRIME SUSPECT

And, just as I thought, Chief Revering is at the podium and she's got about 8 uniformed officers right behind her. Pierre Collins must be feeling nervous, wouldn't you think ??? (I sure would be....)

MT @LouRaguse @CrystalMNPolice chief says Pierre Collins remains prime suspect in death of #BarwayCollins

OH, OH - POLICE HAVE 'ELECTRONIC EVIDENCE' THAT PIERRE COLLINS WAS AT THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER --

What do you think that evidence is? Cell phone use?? Snapshot of Pierre Collins behind the wheel pulling into the Park parking lot (but Barway's not in the pic')? Not license plate reader, I'm thinking... It's NOT good that Pierre Collins said he was NEVER there if he was.... Pierre told NGrace he was never there....

Police have electronic evidence father was at Mississippi River near spot Barway's body was pulled the day the boy went missing.

POLICE HAVE TAKEN PIERRE COLLINS' PASSPORT AND HE IS BEING GUARDED AT ALL TIMES IN HIS HOME, AND PIERRE COLLINS 'MAY' BE ARRESTED !!!!

Crystal PC Revering: Collins father passport taken, police protecting him at home, arrest possible. @WCCO @wccoradio

For those of you who have followed cases such as this a lot, is it common for police to suspect somebody for such a long time AND announce they are a suspect but yet not make an arrest??

I cannot help but wonder at the cause of death. Was Barway conscious when thrown into the river? If so, did he have time to realize his father's intentions?

i'm personally SHOCKED they haven't arrested him with this latest announcement that they have evidence he was at the river..........

I've seen it go either way. I think it all depends on the tactics they (being LE, County Attorney, etc) feel will work the best. PC isn't going anywhere without a police escort, so to speak. And that's JMO [emoji6]

Well, for one, it is the weekend! So, tomorrow, Monday morning, the Hennepin County Prosecutors will be back at their desks.

IMO, the police feel they have probable cause to make the arrest, but not firm enough yet that they feel they'll slam-dunk get a conviction.

IMO, I bet the police have other things they could arrest Pierre Collins on right now (welfare fraud?? tax fraud?? who knows what?), and so they told Pierre Collins, 'Hey, hand over your passport or else we'll arrest you right now on this other (lesser) charge we have on you', so Pierre handed over his passport.

Yes, police are NOT to be loosey-goosey about naming 'suspects' - I think they believe 100 percent Pierre did this. Maybe the only leverage they will have to try to pull on Pierre Collins, through his attorney, because For Sure Pierre Collins is 'lawyered-up' by now, will be to say, 'Hey Pierre, tell us who your accomplice was and then maybe we can go easier on you...' But, the problem with that is that For Sure, it is Pierre who is the Mastermind and Ringleader of the murder, so Pierre would think all he'd do would be to hurt his buddy's life, and, because Pierre 'forced' the matter, the case against Pierre would get worse because the accomplice would tell all he knows.

I really think, if Pierre Collins did this crime, it was all about making easy money - remember how about 4 days after little Barway's disappearance, a group came to pray in Barway's parking lot, and handed out $1,200 cold cash to Pierre - if Pierre did this crime, I bet Pierre really enjoyed getting that money in his hands. And that would have just been the beginning - 'GoFun_M_' type websites would get him an easy $75,000 within a few weeks. And maybe Barway was ignorant, tho', about how realistically he he would likely not be able to collect his $30,000 on the life insurance policy....

I find it odd that the murder occurred the very day that Pierre had just been at court getting 'spanked' about his hefty child support arrears.... That makes me think Pierre Collins (if he did this horrible crime) was just filled with hatred every-which-way, and all his hate wound up fixated onto Barway. Which ties in to the thought that maybe Pierre's present wife genuinely love little Barway, and that made Pierre angry and jealous - i.e., that Pierre could not stand not being Number One in his home, the King of his Apartment. And, he'd rationalize, this is one less mouth to feed....

So, I am wondering if Pierre planned this out for a long time, or if was more a burst of sudden anger. Very odd to me that Pierre would do it the very day of court - - you'd think he'd realize he'd look darn suspicious just for that reason, plus, down at the court, all is on camera, and everyone would remember seeing Pierre that day (when your kid disappears that very evening...)

If Pierre did this horrible crime, then, I would guess he would think no one would ever think to check out the Mississippi River. Which has me think now, with Chief Revering's latest press conference, it was cell phone use by Pierre that is the 'electronic evidence' of where Pierre was ---- none of know everything, so isn't it entirely possible that Pierre simply had never learned about how our cell phones have gps on them? And about the cell phone tower 'pings' ???? I am 'talking out loud', but now I am leaning to think gheesh: Pierre's own cell phone gps is the damning evidence !!!

Morals of the story: Don't think about murderering your child. Don't think you can outwit the police. Don't lie to the police.

Also, I live in this area, and people do NOT go hungry and welfare benefits are phenomenal here. Goodness, even if Pierre felt he was 'oh so poor', he really was super rich - nice, lovely apartment, leather furniture, iphone, good food, great schools for his kids, ipad, computers, great medical care, super nice clothes, woman after woman after woman.... (he's only 32 !)

imo
