I wonder why they took away his new wife too? Might they charge her with something, or will they simply question her?

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that they want to re-question her now that she knows what happened to Barway and that someone put him in the Mississippi. She might have believed Pierre before (or was loyal to him out of love or fear), but now she might have a different story to tell.

I think she will be easier to "crack" than Pierre. I have the feeling about him that he will deny, deny, deny involvement even in the face of proof.

So....the 2nd degree charge means that they don't think he planned to murder the child, but that the child died because of his actions (for an example, he beat the child and the child died).

Am I understanding that correctly?

I'm hoping that's just to get him in jail and then upgrade the charges as the investigation progresses?

The 'last' Wisconsin wife said 'present' wife lied in press conference and covered for Pierre - something like she said she knew where Pierre was at all times --- does anyone have a news video link of that interview, please - I know it took place in their apartment, and there were several people sitting in chairs on the side, and someone has the little one in the kitchen and then seems to give the littlest one a bottle (how can that kid be age 3-4???) I can only find one tiny clip and it's a clip of video with no sound.

IMHO - That 'last' Wisconsin wife does seem irritating - I'm not meaning to justify Pierre's murder of his little boy, just saying that the 'last' Wisconsin wife seems to be one of those 'It's never me (i am perfect...) - you, you, you (Pierre) are the problem'/'smug superiority/always pointing the finger' types. imo

I would think the police are going to try to get present wife to 'talk' and turn on Pierre and they'll try to scare her that if she doesn't turn on Pierre, they're gonna charge her with something, too.

I also wonder: Who the heck is 'Uncle' - the 'last' Wisconsin wife believes some other guy helped Pierre, and that makes sense to me - it'd take 2 men to get the child thrown out a distance into the Mississippi River with weights on the child's body...

Well, DUH !! Of course the police aren't going to let the 'Pastor' sit in on the questioning of 'present' wife !!! (I suppose when the Fake Police Commissioners take people in for questioning, they allow guests and spectators in the room :great: )

Pastor Harding says she does not speak English well and does not know her rights. They are not letting Smith even speak with her in dept.

"The father of a 10-year-old Minnesota boy whose body was found in the Mississippi River over the weekend was arrested Monday, less than a month after he appeared at a vigil tearfully pleading for his safe return.

Pierre Collins was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of Barway Collins, Crystal Police Chief Stephanie Revering said in a news release.

Pierre Collins was phootgraphed Monday being placed in the back of a squad car in handcuffs and taken away from his apartment complex in Crystal. He will be processed and taken to the Hennepin County Jail."

IMO LE has always known what happened. Heck, maybe "uncle " actually has been identified and is informing? Who knows. Sweet Barway's body may have been the last peice of the puzzle.
 
If he was so angry about the court hearing, why didn't he kill himself? Why take it out on the little Barway?
 
For gosh sakes, how many kids does this dude have? Child support for 4 plus the ones living with him, and little Barway...how many others?

Pierre is age 33 and has had 7 kids total, but, you see, he apparently murdered 10 y old Barway, so now there are 6 kids. Two are younger boys with 'present' wife. 4 kids with 'last' Wisconsin/blonde/outspoken wife.
