Driving somewhere but not taking his cell phone? Turning off his cell phone? I assume you heard it said that the police did tail/follow/watch him 24-7 until the arrest, right??? Did the pros' use the word 'sneaky' --- what other words did pros' use (deceptive? tricky? hide? evade?)

Do you know of the Scott Peterson/Laci Peterson/Calif. murder case? Scott would evade the police, and taunt them, give them the finger, dyed his hair red, grew a beard, baseball caps way down low. Also, on arrest, in his trunk, Viagra, shovel, camping equipment....

She may have said they lost him but I'm not positive. I don't remember. I didn't take notes or record it so I can't be sure. Sorry.

Oh, no doubt! I also think he'll use very chance he gets to see his wife and kids, if only to give her "the eye". I'm still not completely convinced he didn't have a partner. It sounds like there's enough evidence to put him away for life. Somehow I think he'll do just fine in prison.

2. Someone here can find no marriage record as to present wife and PC. Can somebody here tell the pros'/police about that matter, because if they are not legally married, then present 'wife' must testify at trial. I would hate to think that somehow verifying that matter wound up being totaly overlooked by prosecution !

I agree. And while this is NO EXCUSE, I have been researching Liberia and that country has really suffered under civil war during PC's lifetime. I wonder what his own childhood and early adult years were like. I don't know, obviously, but when I first started reading about PC, I thought he was incredibly hardened.

But growing up in a war-torn country IS NO EXCUSE at all. People have survived similar situations in many places over all time and continued to be compassionate and loving people.

War is horrible and the effects go on for generations,

No one wins except for the makers of things dor war---bombs, planes, etc

Sadly I have some very fresh experience with a hearing like today's. If he didn't look around for YC it very well was because he was told she was not there/not coming.

As far as the marriage license ... it is very possible it is simply not searchable right now (i.e. not put into the public records system ). They may not have been married in MN. Lots of reasons why we have been unable to locate the information. I wouldn't rely a whole lot about that. I certainly am not 100% on the legality of the marriage but I am kind of thinking the media would have uncovered that. Regardless, LE knows for sure. MOO and all that...
 
Saturday's burial is postponed. Funeral still on.

"Pastor Harding Smith, spokesman for the family of slain 10-year-old Barway Collins, confirmed an agreement has been made regarding the boy's funeral and burial arrangements after several people worked to get his birth mother to Minnesota from Liberia"

"Originally, Barway's burial and funeral were slated for Saturday at Shiloh Temple in Minneapolis. Funeral will still take place that day, but the burial will be on Monday. His mother, Louise Karluah, has a Visa hearing on Friday, and she could be in Minnesota as early as Saturday night or possibly on Sunday."

He did look around. I think it was more along the lines of taking mental inventory of who all was there, not necessarily looking for any one in particular.

I can only hope she had turned against him. Just from the snippets of information that had been released, I don't believe she was involved.

I don't get the feeling she helped PC with this and I don't get the feeling she is protecting him either.

I think she is telling the truth, letting the chips fall where they may, no matter the consequences.
 
I've thought about present wife and her circumstances..... Assuming PC is guilty, and with what we've been told in MSM about present wife and what she's told the police (e.g., 'Liberians only cry when someone's died...') and knowing how cooperative she's been, and seeing how sad she looks on tv/video (IMO), perhaps present wife has adjusted to having her hubby gone - gone for good !! - and life's turning out to feel better than ever for her !!!! Wouldn't that be wonderful ? !! JUST the fact that hubby said, 'Hey, I'm off to work today - you stay here with the 3 kids, get Barway off to school, and then sit home all day alone with the 4 and 1 year old....' and in fact hubby lied to wife, PLUS at noon, hubby is actually across the street buying himself some lunch and then doesn't show up 'til 0140pm, AND THEN, at 0415pm, hubby announces, 'Hey, I am going out (...out wherever I want to go and it's none of yo' business) - you stay here alone with the 3 kids - I'll be back when I want to be back...', well, perhaps life is feeling like a better place for her now :) Also, she seems genuinely brokenhearted at the murder of Little Edwin (Barway), but maybe she's also finding the remaining 2 kids with her to be quite precious, now that she knows they won't wind up murdered in due time either.....
 
Barway Collins funeral postponed to allow biological Mother to attend
FRIDAY, 24 APRIL 2015

The Star Tribune now reports that the funeral has been postponed following a meeting of community members on Thursday night who “agreed that every effort should be made to allow mother Louise Karluah to attend.” Services for the slain boy are now tentatively scheduled for Saturday May 2, with a news conference scheduled for 2 pm today [Friday, May 24] to discuss ongoing events.

This IMO: How totally CRAZY, arrogant, narcissistic, self-seeking (IMO!) to say you're adamantly going to hold a murdered 10 y old little boy's funeral without either parent present, and will NOT hold off a day or so 'because the refrigerated & embalmed body is decomposing day by day..' !! --- gimme a break!!

IMO what that was about was: MONEY !! PC/'Pasto' wanted to get the funeral held, because that's where they pass the (deep) baskets for cash donations !!! See, when bio' mom arrives, I hope somehow the pressure will truly be so great that PC/'Pastor' will literally NOT be able secretly to collect all the cash from the funeral and do with it what they will !
 
I bet that guy's alibi checked out. But, I am burning up to read the article: The young woman who is arriving here from Libya is Little Edwin's (Barway's) mother and it is she whose wishes are to be honored now, NOT 'the Pastor', not PC, not PC's (very) new wife, not this 'uncle' who's never been identified before. I am appalled: 'the Pastor' has got NO business saying how he wants the funeral and burial to go - - Little Edwin's mother is the person to be honored at this time ! IMO: This is all about ONE greedy person wanting to get his hands on the deep baskets of collected cold-cash at the funeral ! IMO: This ONE person likely has plans to pass more deep baskets, asking for cold-cash, at the burial!!
 
If you go to the source doc' of the allafrica.com interview (which is a lengthy audio), Little Edwin's mom states PC's rapes of her while she was a child in the refugee camp were many and ongoing and by force. She also states when Little Edwin was born, she was age 15 and PC was 25 and PC said 'You're not my type' and didn't want anything to do with her. I did not know at the time that that audio tape was released that the interviewer was a well-known celebrity news anchor, so that audio is MSM.

First, let me say that I do not doubt bio-mom's story about the rape and abandonment. I do believe her and have no reason to doubt her.

But, the numbers don't add up in terms of what people say their ages are. PC was born in 1982, according to court documents. Edwin was supposedly age 10 at the time of his death. I'm trying different scenarios, and just can't get the ages to match what they are said to be.

It's entirely possible bio-mom didn't know the correct age of PC (students don't usually know the ages of their teachers) and I can also imagine that in a war/refugee situation, exact ages aren't necessarily tracked closely. It could also be my math is off, lol! Correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't know where I'm going with this except to say it seems there has been "fuzzy truth" around PC for a long time before this case.

Bio-mom is a victim for years because of PC and my heart goes out to her. I'm not casting negativity on her. Just trying to figure out a timeline of Edwin's life.

My understanding is that PC's sister was in the birth certificate as mother of Barway (Edwin) so when he was old enough (18?) he could sponsor her papers to the U.S.
