thanks for confirming. a map would be a great idea, i saw someone in another thread make one on google maps that was interactive. i can try to figure out how.

I keep trying to figure out the chances he made it past the ponds vs getting hung up in the brush before reaching them.
Thank you for your post and for all your hard work for Bryce!
I am very familiar with the area, and I keep wondering if he walked the tracks - would be easier than going through the brush. He could have left the tracks at any point to places not being checked. Sure the RR has been alerted, and I have seen LE walking them from Nichols.

1. could he be hidden by fallen or falling leaves?
2. did he have anything with him except the phone that
anyone might have taken and tried to sell or pawn?
3. LE found his tie (possibly)- where was that? near where he made
the phone call?
imagine dogs would find him if he was not in water
I would think if he were on the ground, the searchers or dogs would have found him too, but who knows after almost 2 weeks and days of rain.
I wondered what he had with him also? Cell phone, wallet, keys or key fob to his apartment I would guess.
Tie was found along his route…I don’t recall exactly but thought by the woods where he made the call.

One map has his route along the streets, and a second tracking way back close to the river. Were the dogs way off on that one to the river? The second map is all around the ponds behind the industrial buildings they have been searching all week. LE must suspect he is in those ponds. But if so, why are they checking other leads and have boats in other lakes/ponds?
And I meant that the maps would be locked down and secure…not the area.
I’m back to the K9 maps I found. The first has the dog following mostly paved streets and lots. The second has him following the RR tracks up to the ponds. That second one tracks him perfectly around the ponds and even across the narrow strip of land between the 2 big ponds. Nothing is tracked farther up the RR tracks toward Gun Club. Doesn’t seem that drunk to stay on streets, the tracks, and around thd ponds…barely veering off. Also still not sure how accurate K9 maps are, given the first one had a route back toward the river and just stops in a wooded area…not likely that one is correct IMO. I am sure there are many other K9 maps…based on seeing a few groups out today with K9’s. I’ll keep looking for more maps.

If he is in the ponds, it would seem he's not very far in - probably stumbled into water. It's not like he was swimming or such. He would have needed to cross the tracks to get there. Strange that he would just keep walking.
If he is not far in, they should be able to find him…most of the shoreline around those ponds seems shallow.

I walked those tracks today from Blue Cross all the way to the ponds, which seems to be where LE thinks he is. They have an entire search and rescue station by the ponds in a lot of one of the industrial businesses. internetGhost91 referenced the company name. Searchers and dogs were coming and going there all day today. They were walking around the ponds, but zero activity in the water.

A few final comments for the night. I still can’t wrap my head around the lack of information/updates from Eagan PD, LE, news stations, Bryce’s family/friends. No organized searches. No updates for days. No acknowledgement of people wanting to help. It’s been 2 weeks now since he went missing. No Bryce yet. He is still missing. I did not see groups of people out looking today that looked like family or friends. Just a few random people and lots of what seemed like professional search groups. If it were my son missing, I’d be out there everyday with any help of family and friends and community members I could get.

Seems the family has 100% confidence Eagan LE will find him. However, what's happening just isn't aligning with most of our expectations. I'm surprised with no divers and no ponds being drained (of what I am aware). If he isn't found soon, with snow coming, LE will suspend searches. Most LE suspend after about two weeks, and that's approaching. Just how things work.

Private sources are going to be needed. May be too late in the season, but Gene and Sandy Ralston (Google) are two divers who do searches. Charge only for travel.

No Search and Rescue presence today. Clear day, cold but no reason not to search. Seems odd.
Didn’t see anything either. Just got back from checking by the ponds. Yesterday had the huge search and rescue vehicles, tables and people around, parking lot was full of cars, truckloads of search crews and K9 groups walking around. This afternoon, a ghost town. Did they find him or give up? Trino on here mentioned LE suspends after about 2 weeks. I sure hope that isn’t the case.

I went out to search for a while today. I followed the train tracks southwest from Yankee Doodle toward Burnsville, nothing to report really. I didn’t see anyone else searching.

I did see a deer that had been killed and partially eaten by something. Coyotes? Could he have encountered an animal? We don’t have wolves around here AFAIK. Could a couple of coyotes be an issue for an adult human? If this were the case, you would think he would have been found. JMO

Could someone who was drunk have hopped a train? Do people still do this?

I would think if an animal got him, a carcass would have been found. Or vultures or other birds all over.
What are the chances a train going through that morning? And if he did, he would have sobered up and called family/friends at some point.
They must suspect he is in one of those ponds, but can’t get him out. I have heard it’s very deep and an old mine or quarry under there. LE has been in those ponds 3-4 times last week.

I did post earlier that I think he's likely in the water, but I also think it's worth considering he got further than anyone expects, in whatever direction he seemed to be going. (I'm remembering dear Noah Chamberlin's case, a toddler found just outside the official search zone by a lone officer. They didn't think he could have gotten that far in the terrain.)

Thanks always for your local insight...in regard to the ponds, is there any current? I would think minus a current pulling him deeper / further away from land, he would be along / near the shore. Are there any submerged trees, brush, etc. that you are aware...just trying to think if he could have become "trapped" and that's adding to the search difficulty if indeed he's in the water. My only other thought is if he tried to seek shelter, warmth and came across a shed, garage, etc. and unfortunately still succumb to the elements.

I hope they decide to call back volunteers before significant snowfall.

Snow forecast for Monday and Tuesday, at least where I am, maybe 70 miles north of the TC. There really isn't any time to lose.

Also it seems they may not have any reason to search his apartment/area but I really hope they have. Something could have actually happened later after he made it home. This is the rear door and the pond right out the back of his apartment.

Agree that he could have gotten farther than what is expected. The search area is about 3mi x 1 mi. He could have followed the tracks, then left them at a point outside the search area. Tracks would have been easier to walk.

Coyotes, but they are shy, not known to attack humans. Foxes. That's about all that frequent the area where he disappeared. Turkey vultures, eagles, ducks, geese, etc. Nothing that would really take down a human.

I didn’t see any current the last 2 days. The are really not very large, but heard one or maybe both are 100 feet deep. Heard they were old mines or quarrys. Some large cement blocks/pieces along the side of one of them. Not sure what is down in the bottom, but maybe he is lodged in something down there.
