Tired of these cases where a spouse poisons their partner. It takes such a spiteful, heartless person to poison someone they “loved” enough to marry! Poisoning causes the victim such agony and pain and is such a cruel way to go out of this world. I feel so bad for the victim. I hope this loser faces the maximum sentence when that time comes, along with the awful dentist who just did this to his wife recently. When will people learn to just divorce their partner instead of MURDER them?!

All JMO!

Connors Facebook appears to be deactivated, but if you search “Connor Bowman rochester MN” a video pops up about him getting residency of choice and his wife Betty runs into the frame to hug him and celebrate with him. That was just two years ago. What on earth went wrong in just two years?? It appears his wife was a pharmacist, and the article I just read said Connor was an internal medicine doctor, not a pharmacist as was previously reported, so I’m not sure which is true. Linking the article below. RIP Betty.

Doctor Arrested in Alleged Poisoning of Wife

From the article:
“Connor Bowman allegedly told multiple people Betty Bowman died from Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, or HLH, an extremely rare disease where a patient’s immune system attacks their organs. He also included a reference to it in Bowman’s obituary, according to court documents.

According to Betty Bowman’s medical records, she had not been diagnosed with HLH.

According to court documents, Connor Bowman also attempted to cancel an autopsy, and asked for a description and list of substances the Medical Examiner’s Office would test for in a toxicology report.”

If I didn't think a pharmacist had access to much more potent and easy to go under the radar drugs, I'd be putting all my money down on arsenic. The gastric symptoms are classic presentation.

But maybe he is that arrogant and foolish. Arsenic is very easy to test for. The crystals show up clearly in the internal organs on a biopsy, for example, and any number of chemical tests will flag it.

Oh, I feel like I’m watching a movie. Probably will be someday. He’s a pharmacist schooled in Pharmacology. He would know how to make it painless but then how would he explain it? What’s that cockamamie illness he came up with? Omg, my stomach hurts.

eta: There’s a beautiful family photo of the killer (yet to be confirmed) his lovely wife and their pet dog on his linked in page

The two married in 2021, in Independence, Missouri, according to her obituary .

"Her kindness and intelligence was noticed and valued by friends and strangers alike," part of her obituary reads.

A woman called the examiner's office and said that Betty and her husband Connor were having marital issues and were talking about filing for divorce due to infidelity issues.

A witness told law enforcement that Betty Bowman said she had been drinking with Connor on Aug. 15 and she was feeling sick the next morning. She told her friend that she believed the drink, a large smoothie, had caused the illness.

A detective found that Connor Bowman had looked at his wife's medical information while she was in the hospital.

A laptop from the University of Kansas that was owned by Connor Bowman was searched by the university, which found internet searches for colchicine, a drug used to treat gout. There were also several internet searches related to hiding information from police on the laptop, as well as a search for where to obtain sodium nitrate, a drug used to restrict oxygen in the bloodstream.

Another crazy case with antifreeze poisoning. It’s wild.

Woah, that is nasty.
Yeah it sure is!! Looks like he searched extensively regarding colchicine and even searched for what the lethal dose would be for a human weighing the same amount as his wife. Coincidence? No freaking way, IMO!! He even searched if internet searches could be used in court, and asked the medical Examiner’s office for a list of what they would test for in a toxicology screen. And of course, he wanted to cancel the autopsy and rush her along to be cremated. UGH! Everything so far screams guilty, guilty, guilty - but of course we can’t call him such at this time. I do feel for his family - it seems like his dad was very proud of him and loved Betty very much just based off of Facebook posts, and I’m sure he is shocked at this information. So sad for all involved. This is never the answer to a marriage problem, infidelity or not!

One of Betty's friends told investigators she was "a healthy person," and her marriage was in peril due to infidelity and other issues, and divorce was on the horizon. She also claimed the couple had separate bank accounts due to Connor's debts, and that Connor told the friend he was set to collect $500,000 in life insurance.

On Sept. 29, police were contacted by a woman from the University of Kansas who said Connor Bowman told her he was a suspect in his wife’s death. She then told police that the defendant had the university’s devices in order to do his work as a poison specialist. The devices were also equipped with a VPN authentication process that would only allow Connor Bowman to use them. He reportedly worked in this role on Aug. 5, 6, and 10.

The woman stated that Connor Bowman was researching colchicine, a drug used to treat gout, despite not receiving any calls regarding colchicine. No other employees received calls for colchicine, according to the complaint.

Connor Bowman’s search history revealed questions such as “internet browsing history: can it be used in court?” and “police track package delivery” and “delete amazon data police.” He also searched for and viewed shopping pages for sodium nitrate, which can be used to limit oxygen transport through the body.

This seems like nothing new. I remember reading a lot of true crime books in the '80s and '90s and it seemed like every other one was a doctor murdering his wife through injected or ingested poisons. Of course these doctors had massive god-complexes, feeling they would never be suspected or caught because, well, they're so brilliant they are above suspicion.

This guy sounds just the same. What hubris. I hope it's his downfall.

I know innocent until proven guilty but may he rot. I feel angry reading about this case.

MOO.

*She looks so friendly and carefree.
Betty Bowman

"She's one of the people that's a very pleasant person to be around and a very good worker to work with," Jason Herold, who worked with Betty Bowman at Mayo Clinic, told the Post Bulletin.

"We were told it was natural causes. How is that even possible?" Herold said of the 32-year-old Betty Bowman.

Both Betty Bowman and Herold worked together on and off at Mayo Clinic-Methodist for a few years, he said, adding he was the one who trained her.

When she arrived in Rochester, she knew what she was doing, a likely byproduct of working an overnight position at a Kansas pharmacy, a shift that only one person works.

"You hit a home run with that one," Herold told his supervisor.

"She (was) smart, experienced, she's hard-working and just a really good asset to Mayo," he told the Post Bulletin. "And also, she was just really really nice."

While Betty Bowman did not seek out attention and rarely led the conversation, she was always quick to jump in with a joke.

Ah, colchicine. That's more what I would expect. Someone's been reading up on toxicity and possibly watching a bunch of old school Forensic Files to decide on that one. Enjoy your life in prison, Bowman. It's going to be where you stay forever.

MOO
