Great interview and a very thoughtful juror.
Thanks for posting this. It's interesting that the jurors focused in on the very same points that we focused on here while discussing the case.
For example, how Potter never told Dr. Miller she saw "a look of fear" on her partner's face like she said during her testimony and how poorly we felt the defense did during their presentation.
A sophomore who just transferred to a Minnesota school was shot dead and another student was wounded in a brazen shooting outside the school during lunch time on Tuesday.
Jahmari Rice was gunned down on his second day at South Education Center in Richfield, about 10 miles from Minneapolis. The teen's father, Cortez Rice, is currently in jail after he allegedly tried to intimidate the judge presiding over the high-profile manslaughter conviction of former cop Kim Potter.

omgKim Potter hasn't even been sentenced. And yet we have another shooting and killing of a young man by police in Minneapolis....................
Black man killed by Minneapolis police was not named in no-knock warrant
Amir Locke, 22, was asleep on a couch before being shot dead by officer Mark Hanneman
Apollo can you make a new thread for him?Kim Potter hasn't even been sentenced. And yet we have another shooting and killing of a young man by police in Minneapolis....................

ETA: Naturally, I screwed it up and didn't include the date in the title, but I reported it so hopefully a mod will add it.
I think the judge gave an excellent explanation for her decision.16 mos. in prison. A good sentence imo.
I’m shocked.Judge Chu just sentenced Potter to 16 months (since she will only have to serve 2/3 of her sentence--actual sentence is 2 years). Judge very emotional and knows many people are going to disagree with the sentence.
