Oyler admits she is nervous. She recalls seeing #GeorgeFloyd in handcuffs & police trying to put him in squad. Her testimony is painful. Steve Schleicher trying to guide Oyler thru this. She had a cell phone & recorded incident. So maybe she has some new video we haven't seen?!?

That’s my point. She shouldn’t have to feel trepidatious, but she did because of the culture. She’s brave.
There is a cop culture. It is partially based in response to the criminal culture. They feed off each other.

This is a frustrating witness. But I kinda in a small way like witnesses like this because they make the lawyers work for it!! Haha! Nelson will try to make this witness look bad.

Well it's not a TV show. In real life witnesses are real people, with a spectrum of levels of ability to get on a stand in a high profile trial and be articulate.

Why does he keep asking if she knows the other witnesses?

I think it’s to disprove defense argument that a mob had formed. As if ppl knew each other and called each other to come out and harass/threaten the cops etc. The point is to see these were random ppl who just happened to be passing by and saw the scene and stopped.

Thank you. That makes sense.

I feel bad for this young woman. She comes off as a mess but she has to be really nervous.
I completely agree... She's having a really rough time, and I feel sad for her. Probably scared, nervous, embarrassed, etc., etc...

But, man, Schleicher is really doing a good job of keeping his frustration under control, and treating her with much kindness and patience. MY teeth hurt from all the very gentle pulling going on there.

Schleicher asks why Oyler continued to record what was happening.

Oyler responds, "Because I always see the police and they're always messing with people and it's wrong."

Oyler took seven cell phone videos. These provide a new angle of the scene that night. Schleicher narrowing in on position of officers after ambulance arrived, pointing to Chauvin.

Schleicher, "Did you see him change position at this point?". Oyler responds, "No".

She should have been a witness for the Defense. Not a big deal really, Just another day in that neighborhood. Cops do this/ mess with people all the time. High crime neighborhood etc.

My guess is the Defense will bring up her lack of audio, therefore lacking the full picture of how the crowd was growing, and increasing the threat to the cops.

I am choosing to watch the trial on the MN Star Tribune site. I watched all of the jury selection there. Absolutely ZERO talking heads and MSM opinions... Just the trial. Just like a juror would see. There is no scrolling chat full of trolls, just the streaming trial. When I want opinions, I stop in here!

Watch live: Opening statements in Chauvin trial at 9 a.m.

Wouldn't know this if you hadn't posted...thanks...good info
