I have seen so many other cases on here where people make up stuff to pretend to be in the know. Read about Socal and Kyron. Look up scamgirls. The stuff people do is unreal.

And when a perp is revealed, the amount of info LE has is astounding. Think of Josh Powell. Why he was not arrested blows my mind. These things are documented real people.

I reported a huge thing to LE where I live. They said nothing to me. Acted as if my info was of no interest.

Four years later, a huge arrest happened. I have no idea where my info fit into the scheme of things. Beginning? Middle?

BBM.

Yes, so have I. The higher the media profile of a case, the more likely it is to attract that type of thing. In the worst case scenario, you get the tin foil hat brigade out in force which derails any attempt to have an evidence based discussion of the case, (see Johnny Gosch).

As to the rest of your post - LE might have all kinds of things against DR, or they might not. We should just discuss what we know about, not what we imagine LE might or might not know about.

ELOsoul, you think the B recordings were fabricated? It is possible, but that would not be a good joke to play on anyone. What is your basis for that opinion?

The main reason I think they're a fake is because they've been in the public eye for so long that LE has undoubtedly investigated their merit. Since I was able to figure out who Lou is, then LE surely knows who he is. The tapes basically lay out the crime, and if true I think there would have been an arrest long ago.

Also, the same producer of these tapes claims to have tapes of Vernon Seitz, Paul Bishop, and others. In Seitz' case, she actually claims he offered her any amount of money to buy the tapes from her - why didn't she record that conversation?

Just my opinion, but I think they're fake. Bad people in them, yes for sure.

It's worth waiting for....unfortunately my time on this earth is limited as are most.

Also...could you expand on your Proverbs 11:14 passage as it relates to Jacob's abduction?

The lack of the latter of which, IMO, excludes known local pedos such as DAH, the B brothers, and others.

If you don't want to waste your time on this case, you don't have to. I will keep digging for Jacob and his family. I don't know the family or Jacob personally, but I live in MN and want to help out MN families. Would you want to investigate your own child's disappearance if police won't? I imagine it would be tough to do with the grief. I would be just struggling to get out of bed and function every day. When I am not working or doing important things with my family, he deserves some of my time. Maybe someday we can find a direct link and the Stearns County Sherriff will do something. You have to have hope that something will be uncovered, someone may talk, something may be found. That is what keeps me going.

Ar the time of Jacob, i know i wrote to some priest who took in kids that were living on the street. i forget the name of the place.

Close to that time, there was a whole expose on the Minnesota pipeline of kids to NYC. There are so many runaways. The pimps go to the bus stations and look for vulnerable kids.

Soo sooo many kids out there.

It is like picking zucchini .

shergal, this is for you to read again. It is possible Jacob was kidnapped by these people.

That was really interesting, JBrown! Hard to believe things were that bad in the 60's for gays, and that this Murphy was seen as such a wonderful man. Ugh. So do you think a similar group was active in the late 80's, early 90's also? Makes me wonder about the supposed "cop" that Kevin says he talked to and told about the bikes. If he wasn't really a cop at all, but just posing as one, that would explain why Kevin's report was never passed on to local LE.

But if there are so many kids out there to pick from, why come to tiny St. Joe and pick Jacob?

I've always been curious about that too. It seems like a remarkable over sight for a police officer not to tell his colleagues that there was a car in the driveway that night and that he'd already spoken to the driver.

This totally shows how a "respectable" person with a job that interacts with the public can be a pervert. Totally different impression than someone like DAH.

And these guys have been under he radar for years

Exactly. Why the risk for people who have easy access to troubled youth.

That is why I cannot buy the pedo ring idea with Jacob. He was not a lonely lid craving attention from someone. Anyone. Nope.

One would have to guess that this guy was hanging around for what purpose? To be identified by someone later? He had Jacob in the trunk?

There has to be an explanation that makes sense.

I think at one point in here somewhere we decided he was the cop who was told to wait for the Wetterlings coming back from Clear Lake and to meet them and escort them back home from there. So he was possibly just stationed there watching for them and their car, and didn't need this Kevin bothering him with having seen bikes in a ditch, because they already knew all about it. In that case, it would be pointless to report to his fellow officers that, "Oh yeah, while i was waiting for Patty and Jerry some guy and his gf wandered up to my car and said they'd seen bikes in a ditch. So i told them, yes, we already know that, so they'd move along."

Because I remember reading there was a cop stationed at the entrance to their road. I'll attempt to find the link again.

I almost am done with my case players - who's who in this case, I should get it posted tomorrow. Then Bessie or one of the mods can "sticky" it to the top.

But I thought it was Kevin's car tracks in the driveway that made LE change their mind about the perp being in a car. Surely a person at the crime scene in a car should be something the police officer should have mentioned?
