There is absolutely no evidence that Josh was either a victim of some nefarious activity on campus or just some tragic accident. Occam's razor tends to support the later but the lack of evidence either way is very unsatisfying.
The recent history of the Catholic Church and St. John's covering up sex abuse and the "questionable" competence of the Sheriff's Dept. would justify suspension over that conclusion
Since this was never officially a criminal investigation but whatever its classification, it seems it should be officially close. Once it is closed, all information should be available under FOIA. Has Josh's father or anyone else obtained the case file?
