LE used the term "disturbed" in their advice to people searching in organized searches and on their own property.
I take that to mean LE were referring to the ground searches, and that they believe she could have been buried.
There's more I'm thinking ... but I will wait for LE to clarify.

Thinking about her loved ones and esp. the littles.
Children forget after while, and time is forever for them !
If there was foul play (and imo there was indeed), this was so unfair and cruel to Madeline and her babies !!!

KARE 11′s Lou Raguse was the only reporter in the courtroom for the hearing and says both Fravel’s legal team and attorneys for the county talked openly about “the elephant in the room” — the fact Fravel is being investigated for his possible involvement in Maddi’s disappearance.

Fravel’s attorney Thomas Braun complained in court that the county has provided only redacted police reports and no audio interviews or body camera videos that are important for building a case.

“I’m left to guess what’s in these,” Braun said while holding up one page that appeared to be blacked out in its entirety.

Rebecca Church, the assistant county attorney arguing the case, maintains that even she doesn’t have access to law enforcement information due to a firewall policy in their office, and told the court Fravel doesn’t need to go on a “fishing expedition” to learn what police have.

The first paragraph (BBM) indicates Fravel is a POI, even though that has not been announced by LE. It's interesting that AF has chosen a "Top 10 Attorney", who specializes in both Family Law & Criminal Defense cases - Tom Braun. I guess that's wise, after he's arrested for the disappearance of Maddi, Braun can easily switch to Defense Attorney mode. If he's the powerhouse he claims to be, that may also play into bringing Phillip Prokopowicz on as special prosecutor in the case.

I followed the case of Monica Moynan, very similar to this one- even though it was in NC.

No body cases are successfully prosecuted across the US, if LE does not find Maddi's body, they can still move forward with an arrest.

Thanks for sharing the Monica Moynan case. The NC state law is more specific than what I believe MN has on AF.

The state is using a law called Britny's Law, which allows the jury to find the elements of first-degree murder if there are former convictions for domestic violence involving the same victim.

If the following is not permitted, I apologize. If there are locals here, is the AF family well known in the area?? Are they large land owners or prominent in any community?? Watching from FL so I'm wondering.

As a former victim advocate for DV, I know all too well that no previous convictions does not mean there was no DV in the relationship. We had a client who signed a protection order on a Friday afternoon and she was murdered in her driveway on Saturday. Her abuser had threatened that he would kill her if she tried to leave or keep him from their kids. It happens that quick. I'm fearful that is what happened to MK. She was done with him but for her kids sake and maybe their safety she was willing to relocate so he could still see his kids, JMO

I'm not an Attorney, but I know someone who is @momsof3 - even though she doesn't practice in Minnesota. Perhaps she can chime in if time allows.

Since IMO, Maddi's disappearance likely has an element of premeditation. I think the prosecution could made a reasonable case for first degree murder charges. There was also a mention of -an attorney who had prior child protection involvement between Madeline and Fravel.

Who knows what that matter was about, but Maddi's family who know much more than we do about the history of their relationship. Seem to feel he is involved in her disappearance. “They have significant disdain for my client,” Braun said, noting that they think Fravel caused Maddi’s disappearance.

TB can guess but imo he is educated enough to understand that the reason for redactions is due to the possibility that LE do not want to tip their hand.
Building a case takes time.
Also imo -- if someone 'disappeared' Madeline, they may have had help !

A follow- up note from the Finding Madeline Kingsbury group:

Edit!!!!!
These are places that have been sent to us by people on this page or that we have seen through comments of people asking if these places have been searched yet. There is no particular rhyme or reason for these specific locations, other than the fact they are in the area and accessible. Some definitely may have been searched already, but it never hurts looking again.

Almost 2 months since Maddi went missing! A few weeks ago I was hopeful there'd be a breakthrough, but now I am more worried there won't be one. I hope Mr. Prokopowicz can help the investigation!
Note that PP is a PROSECUTOR (not an investigator) -- I consider this VERY encouraging in that LE must think they've got a case (someone to prosecute!) and want it to stick - so they've hired a 'specialist.'

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) – Winona County law enforcement has recruited a special prosecutor to aid in the search for missing Winona woman, Madeline Kingsbury.

Madeline’s sister confirmed Saturday, Phillip Prokopowicz is now working alongside law enforcement regarding Madeline’s disappearance and will assist if any charges are brought upon someone. Prokopowicz is the former chief deputy county attorney for Dakota County.
