So he called prior to that Sunday?
Not certain, but it seems she called the Tuesday prior and left a message, and did not hear from him until Sunday morning.

Post 279 said "Amanda was so happy he called". that conversation could have only taken place prior to Sunday. It was a co worker who said that. Of course if thats true.

i just found out my good friend's sister sat right next to Amanda at work.
She is the one who helped Amanda come up with the baby's name.
Anyway, she said Amanda was so excited that Westfall had called her.
She - like most woman do - got her hopes up when he called. She thought he wanted to be in her life and work things out.

I learned that Westfall's family also owns a quarry ... if you dig up rock, burry a body and put the rock back down in a quarry, you will never find the body. :(

I would bet that Amanda is either there or on the Westfall farm. :(

Did Amanda say anything else about his phone call? Like why he called? Maybe that call was to tell her about the man and woman that wanted him to contact her...the couple that neither of them knew. The couple that he now denies telling her about.

I hope LE has sense enough to check the quarry out. They must know about it. If they took dogs over there they would be able to scent her. I've been told they can scent through concrete. Do you think that your friend could get an email address for LE who are handling Amanda's case? I would look on the net but I don't even know what LE to look up.

Does anyone else out there know or have known Bryan Westfall? If so, what is your take on the situation?

Does anyone know if Westfall is related to the Buzz Westfall family? Buzz Westfall was the St. Louis County Prosecutor for years, than became St. Louis County Executive (St. Louis City and St Louis County are two seperate entities - the city is not part of the county) The County Executive is the top person, similiar to a mayor, of the County.

I have never heard anyone say he is related, but, also, and to me, tellingly, never heard it said he isn't.

No, I am almost positive he is not related to the late Buzz Westfall.

Pizza Stores To Donate To Missing Woman's Family

updated: 9/28/2005

(KSDK) - It's been more than six weeks since Amanda Jones disappeared.

The community continues to help the family. Six south St. Louis County Dominos Pizza stores are donating 20 percent of Thursday's sales to the family of Amanda Jones.

Amanda's parents are paying their daughter's bills and caring for her 4-year-old daughter. She was last seen at the Hillsboro Civic Center on August 14, shortly before she was due to give birth.

Investigators say tips have slowed down in recent weeks, despite the offer of a $100,000 reward.

Sorry, I was not ignoring you, I've been out of town!
I will talk to my friend and get more info... I will post as much as she will tell me. I have been following this case for a long time and I am very concerned for Amanda and her family :(

Oh that is fine. I just keep checking back here daily to see if there is anything new. I don't expect LE to find Amanda alive after all of this time but darn it her body needs to be found for the sake of her family and the killer needs to be caught. I don't want whoever to get away with murder. Take those dogs to the farm LE :furious: Check that quarry :furious:

It really bothers me that this case seems to disappeared from any national news.

I think we should all bombard AMW with requests to run their story on Amanda again, since it was only run on August 20th.

ditto, I was just wondering if they had found her or what the case status was since I hadn't seen anything lately.

Birthday Comes, Still No Sign of Amanda Jones

updated: 10/5/2005

KSDK-Thursday is the 27th birthday of Amanda Jones.

The Pevely woman, who was nine months pregnant when she disappeared, has been missing for nearly two months.

The birthday has always a day for celebration for her family, including her Uncle Walt Bowers.
Bowers says, "We take it pretty hard. No new leads yet, it's kinda tough, too. Just keep hoping she'll be home someday."

Jones was last seen August 14th at the Hillsboro Civic Center.

Nine months pregnant, she was there to meet who her family says was the father of her baby, Brian Westfall.

Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer says, "Unfortunately, at this point and time we can't even confirm there's been a crime. So to say we have suspects or **advertiser censored* suspect, we couldn't do that."

Prayers for Amanda ....

Happy Birthday, sweet girl
:(

Well, I finally got an email sent to the sheriff's department in Amanda's area.
I don't expect an answer...I just want him to read it and think about it.

I hope it helps when LE know that people are still interested in a case and that we are checking to see that LE is still on the case. I just want Amanda and the baby to be found. I don't want LE to let this case grow cold.

I suggested that they take dogs out to the farm and quarry. Well, not really suggested...I asked if they had thought of doing it. I didn't want to say anything that sounded pushy or would give him the idea that I thought they aren't doing their job....but darn it get those dogs out there  what are you waiting for anyway :banghead:

This is a case that I just can't let go of. Amanda and the baby need and deserve justice.

Just dropped by to see i f there was any new info.....

bumping for Amanda & baby.
