If Colleen Benedict was only missing since this last Saturday I doubt her body would have been BADLY decomposed? What date had Colleen been missing since?

SAINT LOUIS, MO -- Police are searching for 20-year-old Colleen Benedict of Parma Heights, a student at Saint Louis University.
Colleen was last seen Saturday night in an area near the campus known as University City. Police classified her as a missing person Monday.

Police say they know the 20-year-old was at the Qdoba Mexican Grill and the Starbucks in the University City loop Saturday night. After that, police can't find anyone who saw Colleen.

Although the disappearance is being treated as a missing persons case, police say it's too soon to know if foul play is involved.

Colleen is in her sophomore year at St. Louis University.

St. Louis University officials say they were told at 1 a.m. Monday that Benedict was missing.

Police and the university have been in contact with her parents in Parma Heights. They are now currently in St. Louis. Her roommate Anna Casten says she last saw her Saturday morning. And, its not like her not to contact anyone for two days.

Anyone who may have seen Benedict or may know where she might be is asked to call University City Police at (314) 725-2211 or St. Louis University at (314) 977-3000.

Doesn't the weather depend on how fast a person's body would decompose? If it has been really warm the body might not have been there for long but might not be in very good shape. I doubt that this is Amanda as she has been missing for so long that there probably isn't much lift of her body but bones. It sounds like this body was where people would come upon it and not hidden somewhere. I wonder if it is Colleen?

I wish that Amanda would be found for the sake of her parents. I just wonder if her case will ever be solved. Most people know who murdered her but proving it is something else.

The clothing on the body consisted of blue jeans, a blue blouse and white tennis shoes, he said.

He said a forensic anthropologist had determined that the body probably was that of a white woman, age 35 to 55. The woman's approximate height and weight had yet to be determined by late Monday, Lewis said.

He said the Police Department had no description of any missing person that matched the body. "There's a really good chance she may have been a transient," he said.

Amanda isnt the only person missing in Jefferson County. There is another missing person in Jefferson County and the person suspected in that disaperance may very well have known Mr. Westfall, since we all went to school together.

That person moved out of state in 2006. I wonder if there is/was any connection between the two of them.

I won't ever forget Amanda either. I want to see justice for her and the baby and for her family. If there is someone on here from Amanda's home town and knows what the scuttle butt is around there please speak up. Are the police doing anything on Amanda's case? Will it ever be resolved. Will that jerk Westfall ever see a prison cell?

I do live in Jefferson County, and I went to school with Brian Westfall, although I did not know him personally.

I assure you if I had anything concrete it would have already been given to authorities. I have spoken with Mr. Propst in the past. I know his pain. I have seen that look on his face one other time........

I cant really discuss too much about these people as I would give away my identity, this is a small town. These people still run free.

I want very much justice for Amanda. I want justice for all the families of missing persons in Jefferson County.

Just so you know the body found near Ryans is NOT Amanda. It is my neighbor's aunt I found out today. That was major news here in little Festus. They suspect suicide, but who knows. Prayers for Amanda.

I work early tomorrow but I found myself reading up on Kara Kopetsky and Amanda tonight.

I work right by the civic center. It is near where I go to college so when I drive from the college to my job(at the hillsboro court house) I pass the center and think of Amanda and her baby each time. Too bad 21 is so busy(it's the hwy that the center is on, and a very dangerous hwy at that) or I would slow way down to get a better look at the place. I will say it is just a few buildings and lots of land. If anyone is interested I could try and take some pics this week. It's chilling being right there.

The reason I'm asking is that both Bryan Westfall and his girlfriend, Stephanie Votrain, have had hunting licenses in the past. They would know good hunting places and, I'm sorry to say, good places to put a body.

If anyone knows about any hunting areas in Jefferson County, could you let the rest of us know if it's easy to access these areas? Would it be easy to place a body in the woods in any of these areas? Just wondering.

That is just the immediate area surrounding Hillsboro. Much of the county is the same way. There are tons of woods, backroads and out of the way places.
