Two new posts on the fb site. One saying he is Breeann's uncle and another from someone saying her daughter knows breeann's uncle and she has not been found. They both say the family does not know MR, the fb poster who stated she is a relative of the family and that Breeann's body had been found.

Unrelated question for you, Don, how's the racial tension in Senath? Gracias.
I would think it would be mixed as far as Hispanics go.
This is a very racially charged area,,, I would doubt if a black family would be allowed to live in Senath or any other small town in that area.
I stopped at the memorial set up in the downtown area,,, three teenagers came over and struck up a conversation ,,,, I couldn't feel any tension

Katydid this an ongoing issue within the hispanic/latino community.

Some are quite offended by the use of the term hispanic and only wish to be referred to as latino/latina.

It's a very sensitive issue and I do agree with Amster that in TX one does not just label any person or child "mexican" because of the color of their skin. That just isn't acceptable. Because IMHO TX borders Mexico, and when you refer to mexicans you are refering to those that are citizens of that country not ours. Very subtle regional practices.

This is just my personal opinion and my personal experience.

(also if one moves and works within a predominately latino (my preferred word) community never ever make the assumption of the originating country of the ancestors. Calling a PR a Mexican can start the party off wrong LOL (all our latino members here will get that joke). :)

I do understand about sensitive racial issues. My daughter is half black/half white. But I was not talking at all about labeling someone "Mexican" because of their skin color. Not at all. I am saying that IF someone is of Mexican descent then it is NOT an insult to call them Mexican. Not in my experience here in California anyway. In fact to call someone Hispanic instead of Mexican is considered an insult here, if the person is Mexican. I guess different states have different views of the term.

All of the people stating this have BR's mom on their friends list. MR has Breeann's mom on her friends list as well.?????

I wonder if a body was found and a postive ID has not been made yet, and info got twisted from there....no idea, but tired of the rumour mill....

It's a roller coaster ride for us reading here, waiting for word. I can't imagine what her parents must be going through.

When cops were looking for her, the description was ' Mexican female child' or something close to that. Police reports always use terms like that. So I can see the report written in that way. I am not sure who said what in that report. It is not made very clear, imo.

JMO, LE would use the term Hispanic or Latino, because they could have been from Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Columbia or any country below the border..or Cuba, Puerto Rico etc.

Based on an interview I saw yesterday with her father, I would be surprised if he isn't right there with them. He was very adamant about looking and searching until she was found. And I don't blame him. I would be there too. jmo

How about just calling them Mr, Mrs, Miss, Sir, Mame, Young Lady, Young Man, Little Boy, Little, Girl, etc..etc...

That's probably what it is that they haven't made an ID yet. I know both MR and LNC have posted there since that page opened. I am almost positive that BOTH confirmed MR as an aunt of ER's. I do know that LNC is ER's sister. I don't see MR lying about this. I think she just jumped the gun and perhaps thought it was okay to let people there know when maybe she shouldn't have done that. Another family member did say early on that LE and FBI do not want the media involved AT ALL. That's why so little info has been released to the media. Can't say I blame them really I guess.

Because if you are LE sending out the report of a missing person or a suspect the words Little Boy or Young Lady are not of much descriptive value.

Why should "race" or whatever matter? Are we not all part of the HUMAN Race?

cannot understand why anyone would harm a child :maddening:

MCK16, (Sorry, I meant to hit the quote button)

As long as somebody from LE is there to stop him from contaminating the scene if he were to find her. It might be wise to even busy him in areas previously searched unbeknownst to him. It might protect him from his own nightmares. I know that if one of my immediate family members went missing I would not be able to search. I would want to but would not be able to. The find would be a forever nightmare vs one that goes away eventually, for me anyway. I would however be begging for every TES member on the planet to come help me do what I could not do myself. Regardless, I would be too emotionally involved to search effectively and with a clear head. JMO

ETA: And, even as I know and type all of this, I think to myself that I would be out ground pounding. I would have to, have to, have to. As compelled as I am to search for people I do not know I can not even begin to imagine sitting still on the sidelines if it were one of my own. They would have to keep me REAL busy to keep me from going crazy.

There's honesty for ya'.

I was just sitting here thinking about all of the strange uh, er..."debates" we have gotten in while waiting for news. There's been some odd ones. It just goes to show sleuths cannot just sit and wait for the next headline...we gotta be doing something. :floorlaugh:

EDITED TO ADD: er, KK, not all of us are human, there is Kimster ya know........

IMO, if the cops were doing their job correctly, they would have known if the family was from Chile, Brazil, Columbia or Mexico. I am quite certain they did in fact know what nationality the family was. All of that is important if one is looking to investigate a child abduction, as it could have been gang related or revenge from bad blood between families or enemies. There is a difference between the Mexican Mafia and the Columbian Cartel and LE would need to know what nationality this family was to rule out any thing like that in theit past.

I spent about a billion years in LE and when you send out a report, memo, etc., it makes no diffenece how someone wants to be refered to. It is already pre-defined!

Interesting. So he did inject himself into the search.........somewhat.

"Meanwhile, friends and neighbors say they are shocked to learn Morgan is a suspect.

Marty Miller says he and Morgan drove around looking for Breeann right after she disappeared."

Wow, I wonder if it was before or after he had disposed of her? "Right after" makes it sound like possibly before? :waitasec:

I've missed something tonight (just got home). What is this about a body found? Can someone fill me in?

TIA...
