So: the TWs were found on Wednesday Aug 10th and Thursday, Aug 11th (I believe)

On Friday, Aug 12th, SM is arrested.

Could finding the training wheels have tipped off the police to SM somehow? What about the 3rd item of interest?

The arrest came so soon after the discovery of the training wheels that I think it has something to do with how they caught him. Tire tracks off his vehicle? IDK

Also there is no statement in the affidavit as to why the training wheels were found in the location they were found.

That's why I can't wait to read his statement to LE, or see the video of his questioning.
What we saw was just an affidavit from the LE officer as to what he was told, by SM, just enough to get him arrested, not all the details.

Exactly. I'm waiting for something more concrete, too. We really don't have anything to even base a timeline on right now. I'd like to fill in a lot of blanks but there's nothing to fill them in with.

Your know, that's a good question. No searches were done of any of the homes in the neighborhood, right? He could have had her there for much longer. When did his wife and kids come home? Did he go to work that Sat night? Just because the tws were found doesn't'mean BR couldn't have been held there and incapacitated in some way. IIRC, the first wheel found was on a Tues evening and the second was found 30' off the road over a barb wire fence the next day. This could have been him playing cat and mouse with LE. We need a timeline and did anyone else pay a visit to the house while the wife and kids were gone? Where was he all the time they were gone? Did he meet up with any friends? Ugh...no info and my head's swimming.

Going from memory here but I do recall the Chief saying they checked the neighbors but not sure if they checked yards or what. He could`ve had Breeann in a garbage bag at home and dumped her on his way to work (if he worked that night). Maybe they should check his place of employment.

I'm sure they have.

They said they went "door to door" and checked all yards, outbuildings, sheds, etc...but probably did not get inside houses.

I THINK it was stated that he was not at home or did not answer on the first pass and an officer was told to go back...

The oldest one in high school would be old enough to. Always depends on maturity level though.

But according to the article posted above the oldest one was out of town with mom.

Been gone all week. So sad she hasn't been found but glad this "<modsnip>" is in jail.

I just wish the dogs would have picked up her scent and lead them to his house. I guess not, because she was on her bike?

I'm thinking that LE found finger prints on the training wheels and that is what steered them in Morgan's direction.

Like I said earlier. Morgan was out with a friend looking for Breeann just after she was reported missing. I'm thinking that she was either died inside his house until it cooled off and Morgan could dispose of her body.

He surely would have been noticed driving away with the bike in his car or her body given the search started so soon after she was noticed missing. The street they live on was a dead end and I believe Morgan lived more towards the dead end side of the street which would have meant he would have had to pass by everyone at Breeann's home if he would have driven away with her body or bike in the car so soon after she was noticed missing. There is no way he could have disposed of her body, came back, dismantled the bike and then driven back to the same waterway and dumped the bike. The searchers would have been swarming the area. I think she and the bike were inside his house while he was riding around with his friend looking for her or his whole story is a bunch of BS.

Marty Miller says he and Morgan drove around looking for Breeann right after she disappeared.

"I keep thinking he was right there in the truck with me," said Miller. "All the kids play together out here. Shawn's got a good wife and three little kids. I feel horrible for both families. I guess it just goes to show anything can happen. You never really know."

I want top know when MM (the neighbour) went driving around with SM. Where there many people home on Ode Johnson that Saturday at noon?

Having both parents fail the polygraph might indicate the PD should consider having someone more seasoned administer polygraphs in the future. I don't think these people 'failed'. I think whoever administered it did.

I'd like to know which questions they "failed".
Wondering if it is the amount of time that she was out alone, or even the amount of time that it took them to call 911.
I'm definitely not trampling on these poor parents, my heart goes out to them, but am wondering if there was uncertainty in their minds about the time and that led to "failing" some questions.

I am a all eyes on my children and grandchildren type person, never leave them alone for a moment, not one. However, I do know that something could still happen to one of them in a moment and that frightens the tar out of me!

Senath town marshal Omar Karnes said one wheel was found Tuesday, the other Wednesday.

BBM. This is what I was thinking too, but he had no priors for prints to compare as far as I know.

So if he was alone, grabbed Breeann, either killed her then or I don't want to go there, he was able to search leaving her in his home? He didn't let the LE in to search? Was out searching with Mr. M. He had no family home..so he could have dumped her body & wheels on the way to work? If he had a job? Or went to work on a night shift. (sounds like a night shift?) The affidavit from the LE drug task offficer said he went back home to dismantle the bike then dumped it where he left Breeann. hmmm But the TW were in another location.

I'm not liking my notes above...why did the drug task department charge him? Is he abusing drugs or prescription meds?

Been gone all week. So sad she hasn't been found but glad this "little piece of carp" is in jail.

Why couldn't they track her scent if she was riding the bike?

Morgan makes first court appearance

Tuesday, August 16, 2011
Morgan was the first to approach the bench, flanked by officers on all sides, shielding him and the judge from onlookers. Spielman first read the charges against Morgan concerning the case of Rodriguez. Spielman then inquired of Morgan about counsel to which he said he had not acquired an attorney as of yet.

Doesn't sound like his family was there. If the rumor his wife did turn him in is true....would she get the reward?
