I got my gun out and started a walkthru saying this was your chance to come out because if I find you I will shoot.

It is a darn good thing for you there wasn't an armed intruder in the house as announcing you were armed and looking for them could have easily gotten you killed.

If someone was in the house you had no idea where they were or if they were armed, but now they knew YOU were there, you were armed, you were searching for them and they almost certainly knew where you were as they could hear you searching. You would have just stacked the deck strongly in their favor.

OT, but Ryan Reilly is the one who tweeted a photo of foam earplugs and asked if they were rubber bullets:)

I believe these are rubber bullets, can anyone confirm?

I'm an old so-and-so, but I thought that Jaywalking was a ticketable infraction. First a warning, then a ticket. JMO

Yes it is.

Why do people want to break it down into simple terms on one end and extreme language on the other? Not directing this at you just jumping off your post and talking about the public in general.

He was executed because he stole cigars or he was jaywalking. Or, just because he stole cigars/jaywalked did he deserve the DP?

Does anyone have that viper FB link handy, or send it to me via PM? TIA

MB was NOT jaywalking, why do people keep saying that? Because it sounds so "harmless"??

Jaywalking is CROSSING the street outside of a crosswalk, it is NOT sauntering down the MIDDLE of the street obstructing traffic!

jay walking n. walking across a street outside of marked cross-walks and not at a corner, and/or against a signal light. If there is vehicle traffic or clear markings of a place to cross, this is a traffic misdemeanor subject to fine, and may be (but not conclusively) contributory negligence in the event of injury to the jay walker by a vehicle.

And I will add obstructing traffic after he just ROBBED a store nearby, and even after a COP just asked him to get out of the road is truly amazing bold and provocative! It was like he was BEGGING to be arrested or get into a confrontation with the authorities!

I appreciate you posting a link that possibly discredits someone who questions Parcells qualifications.

However, this article

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...cle_0662e5b1-dcfa-578f-9487-8ab6a176ea4d.html

Provides dozens of statements by others in the ME and DA communities that tell a different story. What makes it highly relevant, compelling and damning is that none hide behind anonymity. Each account is recounted using the persons name, rank and serial number.

He's misrepresenting himself big time, and I can only assume he was hired by crump and parks, Baden may likely End up mighty pissed when he realizes who exactly "assisted" him in this investigation.

I sent the info about this to a big pathology blog that has discussed Parcells in the past. I am interested to hear the response.

James Foley was innocently executed. If the officer's account of what happened is correct, MB simply suffered the consequences of his poor choices and actions.

When I was 18 I was a Marine.

What does that even mean? You also made a bad decision? It is not like joining automatically makes someone a good person. People used to be able to join the marines as a ways of serving serious jail time. I am not implying in anyway that is why you joined or many did, but the seems like an attempt to shut down any discussion on the role of gaining experience and maturity as one ages from a young adult to a more fully formed adult.

A man who carried on an affair with the pregnant wife of his Marine neighbor has been arrested in Alaska for allegedly killing the woman and dumping her body in a California mine shaft, police said.

Christopher Brandon Lee, 24, was busted Sunday night during a traffic stop in Anchorage, Alaska, where he’d moved just weeks after Erin Corwin, 20, was last seen alive June 28.

...

Investigators suspect Lee, a married ex-Marine, may have worried the baby was his and hoped to cover up his affair by killing the woman, who was reported missing June 29 by her husband, Marine Cpl. Jonathan Corwin.

I am not trying to imply that many marines are like this one "bad apple" at all, but posters are quick to make sweeping generalization about poor minority youth with similar amounts of bad apples.

Oh thanks, it will be interesting to hear his thoughts. As I said, that articles gives names, very compelling.

I think what he means is he(I think he's a he) was a man, doing manly things, like serving and protecting the country. Not strong arming tiny store clerks to steal cigars and scuffling with the law.

Sure maturity and wisdom comes with age, but at 18 he HAD to know robbing and assaulting people, including a police officer could have immediate and severe consequences. If not, then I'm shocked he made it to 18.

??

LMAO how could that possibly be construed as an attempt to shut down the discussion. The fact is at 18 a person is an adult and they are making adult decisions. Moving on...

Is physical assault of the police officer giving the warning also just a ticketable infraction? I'm an old so-and-so who assumes it is a felony but don't intend to test it to find out.

I've never seen Ferguson authorities say Brown was a suspect in a jaywalking. All I've heard is that he was a suspect in a strong-arm robbery, a felony.

I agree! At 18, MB should have been doing things that were productive and positive. Not doing drugs and committing strong arm robbery.

Yes, thank you... just switch he for she :)

So if he waited for back up, and the back up officer shot MB, would that have been OK?

I don't get what you're saying..........if he had waited for back up, MB would have been pursued for "assaulting an officer" *allegedly*, and any ensuing response by backup would have been in accordance to MB's response when confronted by backup.

LE responds with deadly force when deadly force is deemed. Does an unarmed man warrant to be shot 6 times? And no one REALLY knows the facts on whether MB was surrendering or advancing.

We still don't have the FACTS as to what REALLY took place, every article since the shooting happened adds or subtracts info that claims to be accurate.

First we have Wilson doing a road clear for a "Health Check".
Then Wilson is looking for the men in the BOLO.
Then it's "Health Check" and heard BOLO after the initial stop.
Then it's "Health Check" and subjects continued in the middle of the road.

Subjects had the LE door slammed into them.
Subject approached door.

Subject was grabbed by LE.
LE grabbed subject.

Do we know if the shot fired in the vehicle hit MB? Or are we even sure the firearm WAS discharged in the vehicle?

And no one has seen Wilson's incident report. Why? Why, if this is such a cut a dry, MB was "advancing" in a threatening manner, has it not surfaced? Is it because it has to be carefully tailored to fit eyewitness statements?

My hinky meter is on. Something stinks in Denmark.
