I finally got one answer! The Pilot was actually at the 104.8 mile marker, not the 105 as had been previously reported. That makes a difference since the 104.8 is south of the Fruitland exit, which is also the exit that goes to the place where the business cards were found yesterday. This means the Pilot was northbound and had entered the Interstate south of Fruitland.
K9-Chaser - Waller was a deputy with the Cape County Sheriff's Department and I believe he also worked for one or two police departments south of Cape Girardeau.
"Waller's blue Honda Pilot was left abandoned on June 1 at the 104.8 milemarker off interstate 55 northbound near the Fruitland exit.
Investigators hope someone traveling through the area noticed something.
"We hope someone saw something out there, possibly someone on vacation who drove 55," said Police Chief James Humphreys."
And this on Waller's attorney: http://www.semissourian.com/story/1611987.html
Then he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and is still practicing! http://www.kfvs.com/story/13318391/...ilty-to-domestic-assault?clienttype=printable
