Did they not have a land line? OK...this is getting more and more suspicious. Would the perp (s) have known that? Therefore delaying 911 call?

I wish we knew where Jeremy worked previous to his new job....the 9 individuals he named could have been former co-workers.

Was anything else taken besides the baby and 3 cell phones?

I know what you mean, the phone thing definitely adds a new twist. I just can't wrap my head around the parents being involved. Other cases yes, not this one though. This is just a random thought but do the mom or dad have any siblings that may have a gambling debt or a drug prob that someone would want to collect on? I know I'm reaching.....
But I do have a problem with the dad not having a cell phone on him.

BBM. I must have missed this? How do we know this? TIA

Something was on those cellphones that the perp (s) needed to destroy, imo.

in this video mom answered that question. She said that:

~one of the cell phones did not work.. all three were on the counter and she was in the midst of reprogramming them/putting numbers into them

~phones were gone

~she did not notice if anything else was taken.. all she cares about is that the baby was gone.

~she grabbed the boys and went out into the yard and flagged down LE when they pulled into the yard

~she said nothing else appeared to be missing but she does not know

Whoa! Lisa has just been one of the top stories on our national UK news! Looks like the case is going worldwide, which is nothing but fantastic.

I have to agree with some of you guys, the prospect of it being someone who knows off the family is becoming more and more likely. Or at least someone who has never met them but has been 'watching' them *shudders*

the father could have had a work cell phone (my dh does)... he does not take his personal one to work

just throwing that out there

Thanks Nursebeeme I'm going to add this to our timeline, if that's ok.

I don't think the 9 were working together as a group. I think Jeremy gave them the individual names of 9 separate people who he felt were weird enough to take his baby. Maybe a former co-worker, a former neighbor, someone he or Deb might have po'ed, a former babysitter maybe...just people in general who had contact or relationship with the family and knew Lisa and their home. This is simply my opinion though, and is based on pure speculation.

Yes i too had work phone. I never took my personal one too work. Everyone knew too reach me on co phone.

I was just throwing ideas out.

Could you explain this more? I think I need more coffee lol.

It's a fairly common urban legend that occult groups run daycares and such to indoctrine the children and molest them. It seems to have stemmed from these two incidents (excuse the Wiki link, it's a good summary) a (now discredited) book called Michelle Remembers and the McMartin Preschool trial and the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_care_sex_abuse_hysteria"]Day care sex abuse hysteria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] (another Wiki link) of the 1980s and early 1990s.

KC Star background article, interesting stuff:

‘Stranger danger’ is rare, but all too real

There is no doubt stranger abductions happen: Nancy Peaster knows a little of what the wait to find 10-month-old Lisa Irwin is like.

“I remember feeling so terribly helpless and frustrated,” Peaster said in a telephone interview Wednesday.

In 2004, a stranger sneaked inside her home in Cole Camp, Mo., and snatched her newborn son, Jesse, from his bassinet. Peaster endured suspicion from police and agony as day turned to night before police found her son unharmed. A Kansas City woman, now in prison, had met Peaster in the hospital after Jesse’s birth and was desperate for a baby of her own.

“Just tell them that we know how they feel and our prayers are with them,” Peaster said of Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley, whose daughter on Tuesday was reported abducted from their home in the 3600 block of North Lister Avenue

Lisa Irwin's parents terrified, but trying to stay hopeful
Parents speak to reporters Thursday morning

“When I came home from work, the front door was unlocked, most of the lights were on in the house and the window in the front was open,” Jeremy Irwin said, saying that was all very unusual.

"She's everthing. She's our little girl, she's completed our family," Bradley said. "She means everything to our little boys, and we need her home. I can't be without her."

snip

"I mean we are trying to hold it together for our boys and for her. We’re trying to stay strong for her.”

We'll have video of their comments at this link in a few minutes. Refresh this page or check back here later for the video.

So so sad, let this be the day she is found.
