Do we know if the mother I use the term loosely had the burns before Savannah disappeared?

She got the burns the day before she reported the disappearance when a "brush fire" got out of control. Obviously, with the knowledge that the body was burned multiple times, the chances are good that that particular fire was one of those burnings. The police have not yet released any information on when the last time Savannah was seen by anyone other than RR or RP, so there is no way of officially know yet if Savannah was already gone when the burns happened (most likely), or if there is some truth to the story that Savannah was there when those burns happened and felt like it was her fault for some reason and felt guilty (RR's story-- which I see as rather unlikely).

REMAINS IDENTIFIED AS SAVANNAH LECKIE - Ozark County Sheriff Darrin Reed has posted, after meeting with forensic specialists today, that it has been confirmed that the burned skeletal remains discovered on Rebecca Ruud's property Aug. 4 on County Road 905 in Longrun are those of 16-year-old Savannah Leckie. Stay tuned to the Ozark County Times Facebook page. We'll post updates in the case as they become available.

LONGRUN, Mo. -- Ozark County Sheriff Darin Reed says a homicide investigation has intensified after investigators confirmed remains found are those of a missing teenager.

Savannha Leckie, 16, disappeared last month from her home near Longrun. Investigators used dental records and other evidence to confirm the identity.
Search documents list Rebecca Ruud, Savannah's biological mother, and Robert Peat Jr., her boyfriend, as suspects. The Ozark County Sheriff's Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators, and anthropologists have been searching Ruud's property for evidence.

I'm from ozark county but live across the border in Arkansas so Theo isnt far from me. Ozark county sheriff's department is really usually laughable but i think they are all putting all of their heart and soul into. I think they are doing all they can and the right way for justice for Savannah.
