You can't slip off the sides in a wreck?

I'd think a wreck that bad would be reported. I'd be willing to bet any road over the river has guard rails, most rivers do. There would be damage they'd probably know of a wreck.

Maybe it picked up someone else's car familiar and they don't want to show it because they are investigating and they don't want a personal man hunt. Purely speculation.

I'd say there's very few places where that would be a possibility, and I don't know where those places would be. I think if she was in the river they would have found her vehicle by now.

Many years ago, when I close to Toni's age, I was driving back from an amusement park. I hadn't been drinking, no prescription meds, no illegal drugs. It was dark. I turned into what I thought was the correct area to get back to where we staying. However, soon my front end of the vehicle was way down in the front. I had drove right down a boat ramp and the front tires were touching water!!!

I can easily see that happening to someone now. Scary because had I been going faster, I wouldn't have been able to stop and reverse.

With there been no visual at all of her car since she went missing, I'm leaning to either she's not in the area, or had an accident where the vehicle is not visible, or has been stripped, or stolen. But even stolen, looks like someone would have seen it.

All those traffic cameras and NONE have gotten a glimpse of her car??? Why do police believe no foul play? If she removed the insurance tracker in the car, and didn't hit it with her leg, or something and it got removed that way, then it's possible she was going somewhere she didn't want to be known. With that, there's risks. No one knows she's there, no one to say what happened!

Do we know yet who reported her missing? And where her boyfriend was?

There are two parks just south of Parkville with boat ramps on the Missouri River. No guard rail at all, you could just drive right in. I checked one, and it doesn't seem to have a gate, either. The current would carry you downstream, and you would eventually sink.

Platte Landing Park and English Landing Park.

IIRC, (during the Lisa Irwin case), I remember reading that the rivers in KC are very swift and deep.

This news article from 2015, shows an area in Kansas City where a driver could go into the river. I couldn't find a follow-up article as to whether he was ever found or not.

ETA: Not saying that this is what happened to Toni, it's just something else to consider since both her and her car are missing.

Hey, I've been a lurker.

The location where she pinged mostly struck me because it's near the airport. I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if she's missing by choice. Perhaps she met a new guy online or something. Maybe from the sugar daddy site or one of the shows she attended. Decided to leave her life behind and just go. She disabled her tracking, drove to the airport, parked, left her phone in the car and left. Hopefully there are people checking the airport lots or anywhere near there to see if she parked or someone left her car there

She seemed to like her lifestyle but also probably got pressured to grow up, go to school and stop living that way. I wasn't living her lifestyle but I still got that family pressure when I left university at around her age. It can be overwhelming and I certainly felt the urge to run a few times. It would be even easier for her to disappear because her job doesn't really require SSNs at lots of locations, it's more contract work.

There's the possibility that she met with foul play. Especially if she had a concert to attend soon and wanted a large quantity of drugs for it or something. I don't think she was an addict though, seemed to only use and drink in moderation rather than regularly(except pot).

I think scenario one is the most likely, honestly. I hope it's true and she's safe. Though KCMO PD seems to be a mess so I won't be surprised if they botch this investigation

Just a FYI,. The airport you are referencing is the Charles Wheeler Airport AKA Downtown Airport to those living in KC. It is open to the public and business that own thier own planes. If she left from there someone would have remembered her that morning. Our big international airport (MCI) is farther north about 20 miles from were she went missing.

The airport is a 15-20 minute drive away from Parkville (The area of her last ping.) That is still a ways away imo.

I would like to know more about the insurance tracker. Are they sure it was disabled? Can water disable it? If the car fell into the water, I wonder if it shut off because it got engulfed into water.

On the case map, KCI is not too far from parkville and in the direction she seemed to be heading. There are two cell towers in the area where she could have been pinging from. On the map, you'll see them marked near Tiffany Springs Park and Tiffany Greens Golf Club.

Going to the airport would explain why she drove north instead of towards the area she claimed to be going. There are thousands of places to park there between airport parking and hotel parking.

Unless someone moved her car, it would have been located by now if she had parked it

I don't see any reason for her car to be found unless someone is there looking for it. We'll be going on a trip soon and our car will be parked for longer than Toni has been missing.

But I assume you arnt just parking it in a random lot. Cars parked unauthorized for more then 42 hours are often reported as abandoned vehicle's. If she parked it in any populated area, or at a business the business would likely report it to get it towed. At least that's the impression I got when I read about abandoned vehicle reports several months ago for unrelated reasons. Also people are looking out for her at this point. People who know her at the very least would probably be on the lookout for her car.

A hotel would get suspicious if parked for this long. But it's not weird for an economy or long term lot to have a car parked for up to a month before they start wondering if it's abandoned. Because Toni's car is rather new, it would also draw less attention. It's not a clunker that someone might want to ditch.

Obviously i don't know where Toni is. But as of right now, a run away would be my best guess. And I would get some searchers to start going through the airport lots.

Its a good idea. I wonder if they've already checked at airports; wouldn't they be able to tell if she bought a ticket?

I've never flown through KCI. It's possible she parked and got a ticket and is supposed to pay when she picks up her car. You can save money by prepaying(usually) but it's not a requirement at most places since they have your car as collateral.

I would check hotels around airport. Many hotels have a stay and park deal. Rent a room and you can leave your car in lot. I've done this for almost a month before. They drive you to airport. You wouldn't have to have a ticket or grab a ride... just pay for one night

Stolen cars are frequently abandoned and towed and stored. A friend had reported her car as stolen. LE found it abandoned and ticketed it several times before it was towed and stored. I forget how she found it in the storage yard but it was not through LE. The tickets, towing fees, and storage fees exceed the value of the car so it was a total loss for her.

The last time I looked her car had not been reported as stolen. Maybe that's changed. IDK.
