All those complications in the past and she's refusing prenatal care now, so she's either wishing to miscarry or she's not pregnant. No way she would refuse anything that will give her attention. I bet we read she's miscarried and we'll see a pending lawsuit.

And unless she has proof of a pregnancy and then miscarriage, the lawsuit will be thrown out.

If I understand this correctly, test taken at jail was negative, test taken at hospital was positive. Solicitor wants third test but Tammy wont submit so they are suspicious.

(Just jumping off of your post :heartbeat:)

Is it just me or does this case just keep getting stranger and stranger??? I mean every time a detail comes out it just clouds the pool even more. :banghead:

Most of you may have heard this news, but, just in case: the judge denied bond for Tammy Moorer again. Today, May 23rd, she appeared in court and her attorney said she should be allowed to get out of jail because she is pregnant. However, the assistant prosecutor said she questions this appeal because Tammy refused medical care after the second pregnancy test.

Why would Tammy think she would get bond if she didn't have proof? So the defense didn't show any medical records? I wonder if they are just doing any delay tactic they can think of?

ETA: I am just so confused...You would think they would have the records, ultrasound pictures, the positive pregnancy test? Does this tell us anything about what to expect at the trial? Are they going to be throwing out crazy stuff to confuse the jury?

Why would Tammy think she would get bail if she WAS pregnant? Even if she had proof!
Thousands of women carry and give birth while imprisoned. How is her highness any different than other criminals? :banghead:

my thoughts exactly...

WHO asks for a bond hearing, based on being preggo, than doesn't show any prove whatsoever, except that 2 tests showed different results?

Mind blowing...if I was the Judge, I would be kinda mad that this was a whole waste of time.

I don't know if she would get bond if she had proof. Perhaps if it was high-risk, and she was having complications. Although then I suppose she would probably need to stay in a hospital, not at home. But what I am wondering is why her defense would hold a bond hearing without any proof of a pregnancy? I think it was likely just a way to delay the trial. Perhaps they want people to forget, to not be as emotionally involved, other cases will come up,etc if the case takes years to go to trial.

My question would be: why her lawyer would think that's reason to get a bond approved?!
I mean Tammy could hope but the lawyer has to know better!

Spoke to Hoppy by phone, who is unable to post right now but passed along more details from the hearing:

TM's demeanor entirely different from last bond hearing, nonchalance is gone.

TM's attorney kept asserting that Heather is missing, not dead. Said speculation that hair or blood forensic evidence was found is not true. Said his client is innocent, offered to let her be on house arrest with specialized monitor.

The day TM's dad died, she was supposed to have a phone call with him but jail phone wasn't working, thinks it was intentional. He died later that night.

TM's attorney said she voluntarily cooperated with LE, but solicitor said she refused to make a statement when first arrested.

This solicitor said this type of hearing not a place to go over evidence again and they're not going to.

TM can get more than adequate care in jail but has been refusing, so staff members are instructed to note any time she is offered any type of care and to note whether she complies. She has been offered prenatal vitamins and folic acid by three medical providers, but refused them.

Regarding the possible pregnancy:

TM has been taken to the hospital multiple times from jail, claims prior miscarriage(s)

3/18 Pregnancy test at Georgetown was negative

3/26 At Loris Hospital, TM's HCG level was 429.3, called positive for pregnancy, followed up with an ultrasound that found a questionable pregnancy

3/29 TM's HCG level was only 2 to 3 pts higher than before, should have been double that by this point in pregnancy, did not indicate a viable pregnancy

TM interrupted the judge as he was giving his ruling a couple of times, asking Can I say something?

The judge admonished her attorney to talk to her, saying if she stands up and opens her mouth again it would not be good for her, don't think it's in her best interest to speak, will give you time to talk to your client.

TM complaining about drug addicts in the jail, bedbugs, AIDS, HIV, herpes, MRSA, whole list of reasons why she should not be kept there. The jail's use of bleach as a disinfectant puts her at risk.

TM's family seemed to really think she would be released on bond today. At the end, TM's mother was crying, screaming This is ridiculous! Elvis supporters responded that it's ridiculous that Heather's dead, bailiffs asked them all to leave. At least two of the younger family members were there, did not see youngest.

In the parking lot, some Caison supporters were screaming This is going to get resolved some way.

Hoppy, please jump in with any additional info or corrections to the above as soon as you are able. Thanks for being there! :loveyou:

Oh, oh, OH! Forgot one more thing. Hoppy said TM's attorney never once mentioned that she should be released to care for younger family members or to help her recently widowed mother. It was all about her and only her.

Thank you for all the information OkieGranny. It really annoys me that the media didn't tweet any of that. I hope we see some articles with all of the new info. If not, and they don't allow cameras in the courtroom, following the case is going to be really hard.

She got out for the day...saw some family and friends...got to wear street clothes...not a bad days work. I believe she miscarried. jmo

So is the defense going to be that Heather is a runaway? Or that someone else abducted Heather?

Like this part:
"In the parking lot, some Caison supporters were screaming This is going to get resolved some way."

Yea, it's going to get resolved in some way, like in court and in the meantime, she waits in jail....lol

Well, maybe if she did miscarry early on, that may have put her into a rage and eventually the murder of H. Was it possible that H could have been pregnant too?
