Now that a Court has validated the concept of "Extra Special Grief", Hallmark Corporation will be making changes in the way they market sympathy cards. The most expensive cards will include music chips, lovely ribbons and the wording "In Your Extra Special Grief". A more affordable line will feature a nice quality of stock, embossed lettering and be worded "In Your Regular Old Grief". The economy line of cards will simply state, "Tough Luck" and will retail for $1.00.

:slap: Go ahead and slap me. It was worth it.

lol @ you

UPDATE: Sadly, Hallmark had to discontinue the line because so few wanted to purchase cards for the A's, the only ones with "Extra Special Grief" and worthy of these cards along with all the other special treatment. :)

So basically we have 3 more weeks to discuss why George and Cindy need 3 more weeks before bowing to the inevitable?

And the issue at hand is whether the media will be allowed to record the event live, or wait until Morgan distributes a DVD of the proceedings?

How much did this little court appearance cost the citizens of Florida?

Sort of. We have 3 more weeks to discuss how the A's are going to try to weasel at the next hearing on or about 20 days from now and if the media will be able to cite sufficient authorities that the court would have no choice but to allow them.

Keeping the media out is something I understand. There may be information in the depo's that any court would seal or redact but if it's being transmitted live, or even viewed by members of the press, there's no way to unring that bell.

I just really hope the media lawyers can pull it off and it does come off live. That would be a great KARMA payoff.

<snipped>
So it brings me back to your original conclusion of what BC is trying to do. As for this judge...something is just not right. He is moving mountains, but nothing is moving. Morgan was kind enough to postpone the depo when the family got word of Caylee's remains. Now they claim they have not had enough time to heal and are fragile and Cindy has not attempted suicide yet. It has been since aroun June 15-16, 2008 since Caylee was murdered (RIP angel:frown::rose:), I assume the family knew sometime in Aug that she was most likely not alive when LE gave notice. They chose to ignore science and I can understand why they would want to, but reality check time. Most people don't want to believe and grieve and accept it. This family keeps putting on a show and blaming everyone but Casey for what ever happen to Caylee. I am soo sorry went off subject a bit, just had to let out some steam. Please don't take out of contexts anyone...:shakehead::ashamed0005:

You raise a good question: How has the judge moved mountains? Anyone know?

Or was that just a dramatic little flourish on his part, a bit of smoke and mirrors? This worries me along with his complimenting BC on his "work" for the As (I hope this was reported incorrectly).

So.....once again, the A's are allowed to use their victimhood to assist KC. Perhaps Morgan and the media should tell the A's they'll PAY them for the video of the depos. I bet all that super-duper grief would go "poof" real fast!

I also wonder if the A's attorney let the cat out of the bag.....is CA planning a fake suicide attempt in the future.....say, like right before she is scheduled to testify in her darling spawns trial??

For you: :gold_crown:

Brilliant!

My question is: what rock has he been living under?

ZFG's lawyers should have set him right. Why didn't they???

I'm with you on this, I wish they would have. However, one doesn't want to argue with the judge although KM finally did in desperation and even after the ruling. Also, the court will not presume what is in anyone's heart, so BC would have come back with they had to in order to find Caylee and were uncomfortable the entire time and/or that was before she was found, blah blah blah.

I'm soooo allergic to "Extra Special Grief" that the more exposed to it I am, the more I break out with "Extra Big Irritation."

Live on wftv: KM was interviewed by Kathi Belich and said he wished he'd known about all the post-remains appearances prior to the hearing. Also it was reported that BC 'doesn't want to go back in front of that judge' ostensibly due to this.

Ya know if all of these lawyers involved would just have an intern take a peek at this site they would have known....just sayin....:slap:

Trying again, just in case anyone actually wants to discuss the judge's actual ruling.

The A's emotional health (what's being called "extra special grief") did not seem to have much bearing on his ruling. The judge made it VERY clear that he is concerned and unhappy with all the media attention that this case has received and that he was trying to thwart Morgan's plan to turn the depos into a media event. I think Morgan brought this on himself by announcing his plans to invite the media to the depos and ask surprise questions. Morgan wanted to play hot shot TV lawyer/hero and the judge shot him down.

Does anyone want to talk about that?

Looks like we need to keep KM apprised of this type of info from now on! :D

I personally wish he would have just ruled to keep the media out but keep the depo's on for tomorrow. I don't even care if we get to see/hear about them. For once just make these people do what they are told when they are told to do it.

If I were CA, I would be pizzed for BC's comment about the suicide, that was bottem of the barrel slimy IMO.

I also don't understand why the A's went ahead with the whole public TELEVISED memorial if the source of their grief is so big. I also don't get why GA is already running around FL helping other families, I don't think I could do that so soon after my grandaughter was murdered. JMO of course.

I am quite sure that if BC had not said it, Cindy would. At every opportunity she had. IMO, he's channeling Cindy anyway.

20 days for media to provide briefs presenting their right to be at the depos in light of the fact that the depos (not sure of this part: ) won't necessarily become public record.

20 days for BC to provide psych statements for Cindy and George.

I hope those psych statements precede today's date.

Not as fun..

When was this deposition first known about? I would like to go through and see just how many instances of DRAMA there have been, between suicide scares, 150 death threats, etc.

I'm so not buying the dr.'s don't want their info released. That sounds crazy to me. Medical records are yours, you can get a copy of your own. I've never heard of such a thing anyway.

Agreed. As I understand it, the records remain sealed.

And why was there was no note from the docs to that effect as well? Why should the judge take BC's word for it?

BC was playing pity card again, poor him up against such a great lawyer, so eloquent, blah blah and judge told him he was good too.

Granting this hearing on 24 hrs. notice is considered moving huge mountains a great distance. Things like that. I'm getting the impression that a lot of what this guy does is based on the pleadings; he comes in with a preconceived decision and sees if anyone talks him out of it. I also agree with the other poster that he doesn't like making decisions and has succeeded in postponing this one. He's new; he'll get better and I really think he was frustrated but didn't want to be callous toward the A's and their "extra special grief." Especially on live tv.

He also had to consider what would happen with any decision. I think he fully expected the A's to not show up regardless of what he ordered. Then KM/JM file a motion to enforce/compel/or hold in contempt. Then there's another hearing and the A's get to bring in their doctor notes or whatever and explain why they shouldn't be enforced/compelled/or held in contempt. So, realistically, the court may have actually made a very good decision. I'm so glad you asked because I hadn't considered it before, due to that break out, you know, from my allergy to 'extra special grief.'

I mean, think about it: So tomorrow comes, no A's. Then KM/JM have to file a motion for whichever and get hearing time and match calendars between them, BC, their client, the A's and the court. Don't know how busy the Ninth Circuit is but I'm from a smaller town and 30 days to get a hearing is fairly quick on a standard motion. Can easily be six weeks or longer. So, rather than do what some of us wanted or expected, just order media out, court is basically having the hearing to enforce/compel/or hold in contempt in 20 days along with the briefs from the media. And he'll have to decide then. And also, KM now knows about those other media appearances and you can bet they'll be offered as evidence at that time. And the court will frown at BC for lying.

Probably true and wouldn't surprise me if that was plan B if they didn't get their way again today.
