When Champion, Darby, Matthews, et al. state "they" have done this "before," I think they are referring to "domestic violence."

<modsnip>

How in the world wasn't this solved yet?

This makes me think that the cops were involved and decided to botch the whole case.

Maybe a cop was involved with JC and decided to get rid of her while messing up the entire investigation.

I just can't comprehend the gullibleness of LE at the moment.

This is worst than the keystone patrol. Jmo.

I was just thinking how Jessica was fatally burned in Courtland on December 6th. But she actually died in a Memphis hospital's burn unit early the next day -- that would have been on Sunday, December 7th -- Pearl Harbor Day, a day of infamy.

Also, not sure if significant to this case, but December 7, 2012 George Mister (aka Boone Mista) allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a woman with a couple other perp(s). I think he is the individual in the interview video with Denise Tutor talking about "love triangle" and "not knowing what got Jessica killed."

“You couldn’t recognize her because she was unrecognizable,” Chambers described what he was told by doctors. “The doctor told us it wasn’t nothing we can do you know she was burned 98% of her body.”

But to the Courtland Fire Chief's horror, he saw Jessica Chambers lying next to her burning car "I realized who the victim was and it was just shocking," said Haley. "I hate it for the family."

Just an observation...Doctors and LE say she was unrecognizable..Yet a fireman recognizes her...A victims identity is usually proven before being named...She was burned..car was burned...(ID, tag, etc) Just how did they know for certain at the time that this was Jessica...

What a great question. My candidate for best answer is:
Someone at the CS in some way had knowledge of JC's movements in the 6:30 to 7:31 timeframe. Therefore they are the person who either called 911 or perhaps just slipped up & id'd JC. In addition I think 'they' are a person no one would cross, question & be given an automatic pass/benefit of the doubt. Why?The unknown person was cleared almost as quickly as the CS & JC's unattended still smoatering car photo uploaded on SM. :sheesh:My theory only. Please feel fee to disagree. In fact I wish someone would come up with a better theory!!:discuss:

I am writing another post brought up from an earlier thread. I will be posting it in the future.

Indeed. Her family would not recognize her but someone who did not know her did. Even the grandmother said she was unrecognizable.

Thank-you for that link. I had not read anything about JC's grandmother saying she was unrecognizable.

:eek:fftopic:gngr~snap,do you remember your post about the possibility(Note: NO medical examiner results have been made public)that JC's autopsy possibly indicated she was unconscious during part of the hour which is uncounted for. You paraphrased a medical case to illustrate your point.

Gosh,I think we abandoned our theory because someone took exception and it became contentious.Nothing new with that as most of the reporting conflicts with each other.

Anyhow,to refresh my memory I was going to find that old thread & reread your theory. I thought you had presented a darn good argument.

This is worth a look at too. 5 years ago.

Four Panola County residents have now been identified as among two dozen people arrested last week in what authorities describe as “one of the largest drug rings in the state” with connections across Mississippi to Texas and Mexico.

The US Marshals ARE involved in Jessica's case.
Notice the EUREKA Rd address.
" 5903 Eureka Road, Courtland,
have been charged for their roles in the marijuana and cocaine trafficking operations, according to an affidavit filed in U. S. Northern District Mississippi Federal Court"
Wasn't Jessica on Eureka Rd per Champion?

If she headed south from M&M to Batesville where the "sandbox" is... Perhaps to pick someone up. Isn't that address really close???
Would she pass it ?

Boldface added by me.

One thing, MizStery. I've noticed that on newer license plates in many states, the license plate numbers are now "flat" and no longer raised or embossed, just painted on. I'm sure that's a lot faster and easier than having to set up a stamping machine for every individual tag number. But what happens when the tag is burned and the paint disappears? No more license plate number, whereas with the old stamped kind you could still make out the outline of the raised letters and numbers.

I'm thinking if Jessica's car had the old type of plate, then someone at the scene could have read the plate number to LE over their radio, and they would have determined the owner immediately. But if that was one of the newer kinds of plate, they would have had to read the stamped VIN number on the driver's side of the front windshield. I doubt anyone could have gotten close enough to the hot car for that, at least not for an hour or two.

Here's a BING search for photos of the car. I only found one which showed the complete rear end, and it doesn't look like the tag had anything raised on it, just a couple of screws at the top:
car photos

So I don't think the first responders were able to ID Jessica from her license plate. JMO

Ya gotta wonder why supposedly Ben was told that she was walking down the driveway (or road?) on fire, too. Who would say that!! If she and the car were on fire, neither would be recognizable. Of course, the walking on fire was eventually revised to lying next to her car. But there is a HUGE difference. Investigation was compromised from the very beginning. I think that JC spoke to NO ONE. JMO.......reportedly, the cleared and mysterious 911 caller said nothing about a person, just a car fire.

cady -- Certainly a lot of confusion on what state Jessica was in when found by the first responders -- was she lying down or walking, was she on fire or not, could she speak or not? If the 911 caller drove by the car fire on Herron Road after 8:00 pm on a winter evening, it would have been dark. The brightness of the fire would have blinded a casual observer to any dark objects lying nearby. I doubt the caller stopped, out of fear of a gas tank explosion. Probably drove a little distance down the road before phoning it in. Of course, in MS the identification of a 911 caller and the transcript of the call are strictly confidential.

If the bottom of her feet was the only place that was excluded from 98% burns, you have to wonder how that happened. Was she set on fire while she was standing up? That would be the only way to protect just the soles of her feet, assuming the tops were burned like everything else. That begs the question, was she conscious when everything but the bottom of her feet was being burned? If she was, why didn't she simply "drop and roll" like every grammar school kid is taught to do nowadays? A while back, someone suggested she might have been tied to one of the trees at the crime scene.

...or are there three bullet holes, all in a line, in the trunk lid of Jessica's car, in this photograph:

http://whbq.images.worldnow.com/images/6168534_G.jpg

You may have to increase the magnification of your browser from 100% to 200% to see them. They are dark holes surrounded by lighter circles, just like a bullet hole would make punching through metal, leaving a shiny "washer" where the paint flaked off. They're located in between the left tail light socket and the recess for the license plate. Here's an example of some "fake" bullet hole decals, to illustrate what I think I'm seeing:

http://www.dezignwithaz.com/images/bullet-hole-car-decal.jpg

Could a gun used to fire those bullets be the one missing piece of evidence LE is still seeking?

As always, JMO.

I believe that her car in good shape is parked on a pad at the side of her father's house in the google July 2014 street view. Unfortunately, google obscures lic plates so it's hard to get a good look ,but the trunk doesn't seem to be blemished. Forgot his address.Just google 1024 Carlisle rd and then head up the street to her dads house. JMO

Champion indicated that LE believe the perp(s) are local. He also does not seem too concerned that the responsible individuals will leave the area.

What would prevent someone from leaving? From a DA's perspective, I think Champion knows that one of the main suspects is on formal probation and has to meet with their PO on a regular basis.

OT: If I am heading to Kentucky to meet up with my significant other (e.g., partner, open partner, baby daddy/mama) who is working there, what highway would I take from Courtland? I thought I might have seen a billboard or two on the side of the road. Those are expensive.

The only confusion I have regarding the first responders is who they became friends with on Facebook 5 days after the terrible event.

"Tone dropped. And it was for a vehicle fire. We [were] expecting it to be any normal vehicle fire. Get it extinguished and be back home, you know. We made scene and noticed the vehicle that was fully engulfed and noticed the young female. And we knew we had something bigger on our hands. Our guys, they started extinguishing the fire trying to preserve any evidence that might have been left behind. And I just started attending to the victim. And she did speak with me, which I cannot disclose any of that information at this time. But, you know, she did talk with me. It is a small town. Everybody knows everybody in a small town. I know the family real well. I hate it happening. I feel sorry for them and our condolences go out."
