I don't know why JC may have been set on fire outside of the car...

Maybe there was a fight and during the struggle...she dropped her phone.

I think Jessica was attacked at another location and the accellerant was poured on her en route to Herron. I think the perps left the car door open to run to their really loud getaway vehicle and Jessica had enough energy to get out of the car.

Why do we keep saying Jessica's last words were something like "Eric?" Or that the last time she spoke to her mother was around 6:48?

Remember, her mother says she talk to Jessica in the hospital.

Reminded me of this. The night they found Jessica and the fire chief heard what she said, by 9:30 pm LE was at this guy's house asking him what he knew because of his name.
"That day that it happened. I had been here with a toothache since about 6 p.m.," said [EB]. "I think maybe they came by here about 9:30 p.m., they even went to my grandma address. They called my mom."
That's a little over an hour after the fire was reported. So whatever Jessica was able to communicate was taken seriously enough to look for people with the same kind of name, right away. What if the person with the same kind of name didn't do this but it was done on his behalf, or his name came up as the perp/s may have been hurting Jessica? Is there anyone in her past with that kind of name who would have a grudge or whose friend/s and associate/s may have rationalized one?

Then once it happens, the hatches get battened down, the party rumors, fight rumors, lover rumors and such begin to circulate, to distance the investigation from the names? It's hard to know anything for sure other than this did not happen to Jessica alone, it appears to me. That spot does not seem to me to have been picked by some stranger happening through town, Jessica said something while she could and LE had the impression it meant something, it seems to me.

Great point, I agree. The spot of the car fire, in my opinion, was not random.

Great point. I think Charlotte, <modsnip>, and Allen (Jessica's brother, aka Ben Jr.) are the same age and went to the USP together.

Charlotte was clearly a person of interest early on. She was questioned by LE, Held (we do not know why) and interviewed by MSM. JMO

I have a feeling that there was no decipherable DNA from the Herron Rd scene (hopefully the phone was not tainted by handling before lab testing) which may mean no evidence of a sexual assault....JMO

DNA usually doesn't survive a very intense fire. For instance cremation so experts say. Depending on where dna/other genetic material/prints are left on a vehicle it is possible for some to survive.
:moo:
They must have DNA if it is true they swabbed George Mister. And didn't they say they DNA tests were one of the tests they are waiting on to come back?

Just for clarification didn't DA say that JC wasn't on fire when responders arrived? TIA

Would they have already had results of DNA test from a rape kit on JC at the time that they swabbed GM? I don't think so. I think it is standard procedure to test the victim for foreign DNA, and swab anyone they may have reason to believe was sexually in contact with her, but they would NOT have had the results of the JC test that soon. I think so, but we do not know what the mysterious 911 caller said. Maybe 911 caller reported the car fire AND a flaming victim. We really don't know if the reported fire call was actually PLACED to 911. If there is verification of that, I have missed it. JMO

She didn't say in that link that she was spoken to by Jessica in the hospital. The words JC spoke to her were on the phone.
Also in that link there is mention of a gash on her head, which her mom said was incorrect but her dad said was true. Don't know which is true right now. It also said she was on fire in the road, her dad had said she was walking down the road on fire. Subsequent updates from the DA have said she was not walking and she was not still on fire. Seems she tried to drop and roll.
This just goes to show how early MSM reporting is often wrong, and isn't always corrected for some time.
IMO if as that link says she had flammable liquid/substance in her throat, then she wouldn't have been able to form words at that point. And if there was a gash to her head it might very well have been caused by the sad result of her thermal injuries and may not have formed/been noticed until she was in Regional One in Memphis. She was transported from scene to church by ambulance then airlifted. Various links have referenced the volunteer fire chief as tending to her and surely he covered her and attended to her until she was in ambulance or inflight.
Poor girl. Just sick to contemplate.
All :moo:

EB, a married father, lives just down the road from where Jessica Chambers was discovered horribly burned lying next to her burning car. Investigators say Chambers was able to talk with the first responder. EB says the investigator mentioned to him that Chambers had said the name Derrick or Eric.

The date on the top of the page shows January 6. It does appear to be something that is old due to it mentioning funeral arrangements. I am assuming that it is an older article that was updated, but I am not certain. I sent an email to the publisher, who's name is also linked to this article a few minutes ago. I asked if he could clarify on whether or not this is an article that has been recently updated. If I get a response from him, I will post it.

I got a response from the publisher of that article. He said it was published December 9th and doesn't know how it got linked to today's date.

The only thing I could find was a video of interview with Cole Haley saying they responded to the call thinking it was a regular car fire and were surprised that there was a person and even more surprised it was JC. He also stated he didn't really know her well, but he knew the family well.

OK. So Haley never heard anything about "walking on fire" and when fire rescue arrived, it was discovered that she was on the ground "near" the car. TY JMO Wonder who told her Dad that she was walking "on fire". ?? JMO

JC must have identified herself. the articles say she was unrecognizable but they soon realized who she was. other than self identifying, how did they realize who she was? she did not become recognizable somehow, did she?

:lookingitup:I believe the call is referenced a) the first link is an interview with Cole Haley and b) the second link is found in the 10th paragraph (in which I quote below.)

This is from the second link 10th paragraph:
At around 8 p.m. emergency dispatchers received a call of a car on fire in a rural area west of Courtland about a mile from the convenience store. When they arrived they found not only the car but also the girl on fire.
"We was expecting it to be any other vehicle fire: Get it extinguished and be back home, you know?" Courtland Fire Chief Cole Haley said. "We saw that the vehicle was fully involved and we noticed the young female. And we knew we had something bigger on our hands."
As he administered first aid to the teen, she talked with him. But he wouldn't tell what she said.

do you think she was in another car unconscious? or in her own car?
what kind of cars/trucks have really loud mufflers? are they "souped up" so to speak? if so, who does that type of work and what kind of people drive cars/trucks like that?

I'd like to test a hypothesis but need a little help. Can anyone investigate the names of those who were in the county jail on the date this occurred and compare those names to any mentioned in MSM as commenting or speaking about the case? It may be a dead end but I have a little hunch based on what is portrayed about the jail and C.O.P.

Perhaps by the car. Supposedly her Dad gave her the car. They may have known that it was formerly his car, or that it was the car that she was currently driving. Small town. JMO

Has a POI been named? It seems like this young lady who came to the site of the fire is being strongly implicated here.

I hope the people who believe this theory have sent all of their information to the FBI.
