Since her purse was found in her vehicle, I am curious to know if she was carrying it when she was seen on the 8th with Mr. Poisso. Have they released any surveillance video yet?

Family and volunteers search for Rebecca Paulk

Why Not, Miss. Saturday, Rebecca Paulk's family and volunteers searched for her around the Whynot area where her car was found.

"Three teams are out there right now in this area. A horse is with each one doing a coordinated effort. We have another group that is north of here that is ATV's and by foot," Volunteer Leader Michael Booker says.

Roughly 30 volunteers showed up to search, some in an area where Rebecca's cell phone and a piece of clothing were found.

So the family confirms the phone is hers and they also found a piece of clothing? Grateful for the volunteer searches. I think a profession search team could be of help. Or did I miss something....

The link above referencing the phone and piece of clothing being found is the first time, unless someone can show otherwise, this information has been released to the public. Even though it was mentioned LE nor the family have confirmed this information publicly. So, take the information for what it's worth.

It does however, lead to a LOT of other questions though; ie who were her last calls or texts made to?, did the phone's gps provide any further details about her travels that day?, what article of clothing was found?, what was the condition of her car when it was found?, was a forensic search completed of her vehicle?, etc.

Sadly, there are so many unanswered questions.

During our interview this afternoon, the Hendersons received a phone call from a Lauderdale County investigator saying a cell phone had been found in a field just south of where the car was abandoned.

Rebecca’s phone has not been active since last Tuesday.
It has not been confirmed whether the phone found does belong to the Rebecca.

The quotes are from two different time frames the most recent quoting the family. No MSM reports that the authorities have confirmed the phone belongs to Rebecca.

I found the report encouraging.

What do you find encouraging?

This mystery just gets deeper. At this point they found her cellphone and an item of clothing "some" distance away from her car. it would be nice if they would say exactly how far from the car it was to help put it in perspective. 100 feet, 500 feet, 1/4 mile ?

This leaves you with the impression she got out of her car and went on a stroll through the woods.

Maybe she did. Keep searching that area.........I guess.

FWIW...LE has not publicly confirmed (or denied) that the phone found near her car was indeed hers and have not released any information about a piece of clothing that was found so until this happens it's speculation. There seems to be a huge disconnect with very important details. Not feeling so optimistic at this point, just a lot of questions.

Here is the timeline as I see it, correct me if i am wrong. Rebecca left her parents home at around 7pm on September 7th to travel from Demopolis, AL to Meridian Ms. and was last seen at a business with the suspect and maybe others(girlfriend) on Tuesday September 8th; then finding her car on the evening of September 9th.
Suppose she was en-route to her home in Linden, Al taking a "short cut" via backroad getting lost; and ending up in a ditch.

Oh, Dawg Gone. This may be another CS that I must visit. Only trouble with that is the fact that I'm in Durango and Telluride for the next two weeks. Anyone know the Town Marshall of Telluride, James Kolar; author and formerly Det. James Kolar of the JonBenet murder investigation in Boulder?

There is positively no reason for anyone, without a specific purpose, to stop in WhyNot, MS due to so few people living there and almost no businesses whatsoever. If RH was still working in Demopolis as a server, has her job noted or acknowledged her disappearance in any way?

Let's talk about meth. Count the cases we have now on WS where meth or heavy drugs are involved. It's too many. Whitney Houston. Bobbie Houston. Jessica Chambers. Dr. Teresa Sievers. The Savopoulous Family murder suspect. The beat goes on.

Meth is bad news for users. I am not insinuating any wrongdoing of the beautiful victim. Quite the opposite, in fact. This could be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time; a crime of opportunity without motive. Or RH, for some reason, drove her car across the flat land in WhyNot until it landed in that ditch, deep off the roadside. Then, she ran from her vehicle, dropping her phone along the way and tearing her clothing. *Just speculation on my part at this point.

Where is Rebecca?

What do you find encouraging?
I find it encouraging it 30 people showed up to search for Rebecca, private citizens, including Natalie Holloway's father. I find it encouraging that people showed up with horses and ATVs. I find it encouraging they were able to search in three groups one up north which I hope is where Rebecca was last seen although I cannot say that.

When I see encouraging signs I tend to feel good about it. I'm not going to feel sad when things are being done to find Rebecca.

I must have overlooked this information earlier;

“We don’t have a lot to go on. We processed her vehicle on Tuesday (Sept. 8) and so far we found no signs of foul play, but we still haven’t been able to locate her,” said LCSO Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun.

It has not been confirmed whether the phone found does belong to the Rebecca.

Could it be possible that she just walked away from everything? Still hoping for more information.

I don't usually speculate but I'm breaking my own rules. when I hear of a car like that being driven by a lady stuck in what may have been an attempt to drive into a field, I think of someone being pursued. The same for the valuables being left in the car and fleeing with only your cell phone (if indeed it is hers.) And the person fleeing could be likely to lose clothing or parts of clothing in their flight

And what if 'she' wasn't the one driving that vehicle. Her last cell activity stopped on Tuesday, the day before her car was found. Something tells me she didn't put her car where it was located.

Did the guy say why he was seen with her for 2 days. Plus how is the guy broke when LE needed a warrant to search his property which is 40 plus acres.

being found on Wednesday doesn't necessarily mean being left there on Wednesday. Maybe it had been there since Tuesday.
