Random thought, posting just as it comes into my mind.. what if one of the boys made a call when he woke up and found Mommy gone, called looking for her? When she returned, she convinced him he just had a nightmare and she was really home...now she had to make the phones disappear... oh this case makes my brain hurt...

not sure dog, but in her interview with the kc star she said that only the family could fire her... but DB knows nothing about thaaat so who the heck knows...

at one point she also said she was working pro bono so it sounds to me as though she "fired" herself after realizing that the boys do hold the key and that is why she doesn't want them re-interviewed.
She's protecting herself at this point. She isn't about to work for free on this mess.

<M.W.> identified as individual who received 50 second phone call at 2:38 am the morning Lisa went missing. States has been interviewed 4 times by LE. Went straight to voicemail. States doesn't know DB or JI but she and her boyfriend have walked around their neighborhood.
Many posting on other sites wondering if was a "pocket dial". But if she doesn't know them then her number should not have been in their phone. Wonder if DB when reprogramming the phone (if it's the one she was reprogramming) programmed in a wrong number because she was drunk or simply made a mistake when reprogramming. Link shown in prior threads.

But Short said that if she has her way, the interviews with the brothers, ages 8 and 5, would likely never happen — for the sake of the boys and the case. The brothers were interviewed earlier, and she’s worried about additional trauma to them.
“I’ve done research and see more potential for harm than good with the interview,” Short said late Thursday. “It won’t happen tomorrow and maybe never.”

Trace Gallagher saying it was odd because earlier CS has said that she can't be fired by anyone other than the family. And now, evidently the family has done that.
Talking about what the interview with the boys might bring out. And even though LE did interview the boys initially, it is unclear if LE knew at that time that DB was drunk that night and therefore, didn't ask any kind of those type of questions.
