I will say this again — that was a mistake. Tacopina and his sidekick, not-so-private investigator Bill Stanton, are in this to grandstand on national newscasts and enhance their reputations as celebrity ambulance chasers.

Short, who was working pro bono, was in it to help the family. She said she’ll continue trying to find a resolution to the case, though not in a legal capacity.

In explaining the differences between herself and Tacopina, Short had one line that kind of says it all: “I was here for 10 days and he was in Rome.”

So true!!! And sadly, 61% of the time, LE would be right in accusing the parent in this situation. Sad, but true. They have to eliminate those closest to home... :(

Parents were responsible for 61% of children murders under the age of five.
Filicide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You know, the stats may say parents are most likely but its only 11% more likely than others.

Not to say that is "better" rather to say that unlike some perceptions it is not that rare it is someone other than the parents. IOW it isn't as if 80% were murdered by parents with only 20% by others.

Was it confirmed that they've seen a psychologist or just speculation by the posters? JT didn't say so imo, the implication from the context was that the boys had been interviewed for 5 hours by LE .

My mistake, it was the poster who speculated that the boys had possibly been talked to by a private psychologist. I would be surprised if they hadn't. If the parents aren't able to talk to them about it, certainly they would hire a specialist for this sort of thing. I just cringe to think that their baby sister disappears in the middle of the night, and no one mentions it again. Would they wonder why no one wants to hear what they might know, what they might be afraid of now?

Not sure if this was already posted, but why is BS just now going to that house??? PI my butt.....

Exactly...

The security consultant working on behalf of the family of Lisa Irwin, the Kansas City baby who vanished from her crib four weeks ago, made his first visit inside the family home and took NBC News along. NBC’s John Yang reports.

The first time you want to investigate the crime scene weeks later and you take NBC with you?

If you were smart you would refuse to let your child be interviewed. Want proof? Take a look at this video of a young boy being interrogated by a "psychologist": http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=6207937

This boy was pushed into saying something somewhat negative about his father - in order to get away from this horrid woman. This case is important because the father, who was railroaded and FRAMED by LE for the murder/rape of his own baby has been 100% proven innocent. (Most parents aren't so lucky - they may be "cleared" but there is always still suspicion.)

Anyway, watch the video. See how this woman pushes the child. Look at how upset this boy is. Look how she twists his headnods and answers around. And, understand that she was NOT going to let up until he said something - anything- negative about his father. And, then remember that we now know that his father was completely, totally innocent.

Would you REALLY let your children go through that?

ETA: this video is really heartwrenching. Be warned.

That is heartbreaking... I wonder how long she had been at the questioning. The worst question was what's upsetting you. Really?! You are lady!! He probably just wanted his mommy and daddy. That just burns me up!!:furious:

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have the following two stats that are both surprising and sad:

13 cases in ~30 years involving a stranger coming into a home and taking a baby, and all but one of those children were recovered unharmed.

And.

Fifteen hundred parents kill their kids every year, and that's heavily focused on the under 1 year of age category.

ITA! I saw that this morning and promptly left the room. Where is his 'team' and his effort to find Lisa? He's impartial, remember? He's there to find Lisa! (Of course I didn't believe any of this from the night he stood there and spouted it.)

Does he stare at her little face every. single. day? Because I surely do. Bless Lisa's sweet heart. And Adji's, too. Your avatar is powerful. :(

This is why the parents MUST have some say about who does the interview. There are some who suggest that the parents should just trust LE, and let them talk to the kids at will. They use this as additional "proof" of the parent's guilt. I am not sure that DB and JI would know about this, but I guarantee you their legal counsel knows, and would absolutely need to schedule an appointment with approved interviewers.

You do not get to choose who does this interview and to tell you the truth, I wish the DA's office would get involved and court order this because this crapola with the parents picking and choosing everything when their daughter was supposedly kidnapped is insane at this point in time. There comes a time when you have to say enough is enough and I think its time for LE to say this.

Interesting on how JI was "annoyed" that lights were on because they were behind on bills.

I think this guy is a lot different than how he seems to be.

Yeah, great PI, really out there getting to the bottom of it.
Somebody needs to get a refund.

Lisa should be having her frist halloween today. :(

  Just watched this video of BS and this is the "FIRST TIME" Bill Stanton has been in the house ? How long has he been in KC ?

Seriously ... who are they trying to "fool" ?

And NO CAMERAS on THIS VISIT ? Today is showing some "old video footage" of the hous taken previously ...

Unreal ... ya just can't make this stuff up ...:waitasec:

MOO ...

Well I don't think he was involved and am on the fence about DB but I definitely don't think he is the meek and mild one controlled by his devious wife as some do. I think he wears the pants in the family

Unreal??? This is the first time that the PI has been inside the home!! I can't get over these jokesters. Surely this is some kind of Halloween joke and we're getting ready to get the "oh I fooled you". What a bunch of garbage.

What's the going rate for that honkin box of wine Deborah bought that evening? Odd that they were behind on their bills but she didn't mind buying booze to share with the neighbor.

Any indication as to why they were so behind on bills? He had a steady job, right?

Eleven bucks, give or take, if on sale or if regular price. But I'm thinking JI approved it as it was a birthday weekend, and I doubt she can spend a penny without approval.

I heard that too. I wonder now though if that was speculation on the reporter's part. We NOW know they were behind on cell phone...let me just throw some more spin on my story. First I've heard that JI was upset about lights because of money. I may be wrong though. I'm really just tired of the media circus and hope little Lisa is safe somewhere.:twocents:
