Let me clarify my point in mentioning the Touma case was that even when the public suspects they have no leads they are working the case and it may take time for an actual arrest. I was not meaning to link the evidence, cirmcumstances, etc. Sorry for the confusion

ETA: My thoughts had been that they don't have enough to go on but maybe they are looking at/for people that may have helped after the fact. I am thinking that maybe when an arrest is made it will be more than one. But this is just my opinion.

I think they would have DNA back on this by now if they have it.

I saw a link someone posted, along with something else, that indicates it takes about 60 days for the NC crime lab to complete DNA processing and that's with no exceptional backlog. Their other option is to pay to have the DNA samples sent to an outside lab but even that still takes weeks to process, not the 24 hrs CSI and those crime shows might have you believe.

??? Laci's and Connor's bodies washed ashore right before Scott Peterson was arrested, in April. They knew Laci was dead but didn't have proof until she washed ashore. But they were never able to determine a time/cause/place of death.

Right, that is my point why the cases are not similar.

Sleuthy Gal------- I will keep reading but I somethimes get behind and have to catch up

so please keep me in the loop!!!! Thanks.

I think they have rushed it before and got it back within a week. But you are right that without priority it can be a while. I believe that BC will kill himself before he goes to jail.

None here.

Really .. which viri are we talking about here?

I have only heard of one person saying that. Others have no problems. I think if you have good, updated security it shouldn't be a problem...But, I admit, I am not an expert.

You don't think if they had any evidence of a struggle in the house or a TOD discrepancy, BC would still not be named a person of interest. I really am just asking and am not familiar with NCar. law. I think they would have DNA back on this by now if they have it.

I don't believe LE will name a suspect or POI in this case. I think there will be an arrest and that is all. I also don't think the TOD will be anything accurate - maybe a day or 12 hours at the very best - jmo.

DNA from Brad could indeed be back as it could have been done at a private contract lab. However Brad's DNA only means something if there is evidence recovered from Nancy - such as under her fingernails or some other bodily fluid was found on her which was not hers. For example, Brad said there was no intimacy between them for over 2 years - but if his DNA is found in a sexually related area - they would be studying this guy really hard. That being said, LE would have to have all DNA samples completed before making any kind of theory about who did what. I just don't see them submitting all DNA to an outside contractor - very very expensive. I hope you understand - I may not be explaining it well.

Raisin Charlie,

I agree that no POI will be named someone stated early in the case discussion that once LE does this the rules change somewhat. I am not sure how....if someone knows can they explain?????

TIA:clap:

I would just like to say it doesn't appear that
Hugh Stevens the attorney and Judge Stephens
the judge are related.

That seems to fit with Cary's personality. Things are not done with a lot of fanfare around here. Cary is a pc town, we call it "bland" in my family, so I would expect them just to do what they need to do. I'm not surprised at all by the desire to keep things hush-hush. Cary isn't used to airing its dirty laundry (no pun intended) out in the open. And, frankly, Cary doesn't have much dirty laundry - that's why it is such a good place to raise kids.

Exactly SG, this is why LE is doing all the other search footwork , building a case while waiting for DNA results.
ALso to reiterate, $200.00 pedicures are comon , called "medicures" for becuase of how seriuosly they soften feet (runners and dancers love them).

The custody affadavits are mostly hearsay, however they are consistent and would be the same as a deposition or testimony...of course many "hearsay" objections would be raised at trial. They may get the judge to allow due to the fact that there is a consistency in NC affavdavits and it establishes a pattern.

I really have to make a statement about the hostility of a divorce, familiarity does indeed breed contempt even in loving couples. This was a household filled with acrimony and a violent outburst seemed bound to happen.
It could've been premeditated or a fight gone wrong. Either way, it's seems lately that mostly women have a way of dying during divorces/separations.
AND even more so there seems to be quite a few pregnant women in there too.
It's hard to ignore these glaring similarities, most of these cases are mirrors of each other.

I checked the affidavits and Hannah Prichard only says it was found w/in the past 6 months and Diana Duncan says it was found sometime this past winter. She does state she told Nancy to tell her lawyer about it. I thought her family said Nancy didn't retain an attorney until March.

Which lawyer? The one here or the one in Canada?

Did anyone else hear Judge Stephens mention another judge name when he spoke? Judge Rand? I think it was while he spoke of the sealed SW and said I and Judge R? agreed to seal the SW. Then he went on to say it was not going to get out of hand for SW to be sealed as Mr. Stevens mentioned would begin happening on all cases. Did anyone else catch this? Was this at some other point he brought up another judge name?

My guess is the 3 SW is someone who is going to be someone caught totally off guard.

The only place I can think of if the 3rd SW is not for a person who is the library. Computers, books, plenty of information without having to use your items to be tracked.

According to BC NC got $300/wk
According to DJ NC got $50/wk
According to DD she got $80/wk

Total= $430/wk

yes, the list would work for getting ready for a custody battle. it's possible that he meant to get nancy's name off his will and sell her car before she went back to canada.
He stated he never finished his will and nancy never started one.

Bob, I'm just trying to get down the timing of the discovery of Brad's checklist. I only saw the mention of retaining the attorney for the divorce/separation/custody issue. Did you see reference to her retaining an attorney in Canada? I would guess that her family's reference is to retaining local NC attorney, Alice Stubbs.
