ZFG looked at Sawgrass on June 17th.

Casey borrowed Tony's car to make a Target run on June 17th.

What was in wrong with Casey's car on that day?

She's such a strange combination... EXTREMELY short-sighted, but also VERY cunning. Street smart, in some ways, dead stupid, in others.

Maybe because she was sitting in a room with experienced law enforcement, and she'd done enough research online to know about Zenaida, but didn't want them to explicitly go after HER because when they did they'd find out she didn't take Caylee?

I don't think she meant to pin it on Zenaida; in my personal unprofessional opinion, it was never supposed to go down with them finding the car with Cindy tracking Casey down and calling the cops ... I think the plan was for law enforcement to think something sinister had gone down, and Zenaida was supposed to remain nameless.. she just based way too much of the character on someone real that she had looked up previously.

Yep and we haven't (and probably won't) see the follow up interviews with the apt mgr and the office gril once LE found out she was in TonE's jeep - IMO they both ID'd THAT car immediately - with NY tags and all!!! Whatcha wanna bet?

Unfortunately, I think you're right. But, at least the woman is taking some action to clear her name. That's gotta help her feel a little batter.

She sullied, specifically, ZFG. There's only ONE ZFG. So, other ZGs may be getting it. But, people are gonna go after the one with the exact name.
 
When faced with a picture, I think Casey knew the jig was up. The fact that she used so much information about this Zenaida but stopped short of identifying her via photo doesn't mean she didn't create the fictional Zenaida based on this one; and she based enough about her "Zenaida" on this one that this case has merit in my opinion.

I've thought a lot about this.

If the manager left the card on the desk (or whatever) while showing ZG the apartment, could it be that Casey went into the manager's office at that precise moment?

Very good points. :clap: I'm beginning to think Casey might have been smart enough not to specifically id this ZG when LE showed her the photo because she knew she was falsely accusing somebody of something and ZG could've had an airtight alibi which Casey wouldn't know and it could backfire big time in Casey's face. MOO
