I think she saw ZG that day at Sawgrass and her lie began there. She just didnt think her lie through well enough, because she was too busy getting stoned, partying, cooking her man dinner and driving around w/ a dead body in her car. She never thought this would go to LE and that is why she didnt come up w/ a better story.

No, I don't think that is true.

I believe ZG looked at an apartment further back in the complex.

The one CA pointed out was an apartment that had been empty since February. Even the apartment on the lower floor was not CA's nanny's apartment. It was one used to show prospective renters (can't think of the term).

Thanks for posting this. All the reading about this case that I do and this is the first I've read of 10/07. Do you or anyone know if this search was the ZG or just a search in general?

Maybe because she was sitting in a room with experienced law enforcement, and she'd done enough research online to know about Zenaida, but didn't want them to explicitly go after HER because when they did they'd find out she didn't take Caylee?

I don't think she meant to pin it on Zenaida; in my personal unprofessional opinion, it was never supposed to go down with them finding the car with Cindy tracking Casey down and calling the cops ... I think the plan was for law enforcement to think something sinister had gone down, and Zenaida was supposed to remain nameless.. she just based way too much of the character on someone real that she had looked up previously.

Then she shoulda done the "bushy haired stranger," like everybody else.

According to the computer forensic report, the only searches found for ZFG were done on 7/16/08. Those search created cookies. Those cookies were stored in already existing index.dat files from 10/7/07 and 6/12/08.

So the other files were or weren't connected?

When faced with a picture, I think Casey knew the jig was up. The fact that she used so much information about this Zenaida but stopped short of identifying her via photo doesn't mean she didn't create the fictional Zenaida based on this one; and she based enough about her "Zenaida" on this one that this case has merit in my opinion.

I think you're right, and so do all three lawyers, with whom I spoke.

Yep, you're right Chilly. (Pick yourself up off the floor -- yes, I did agree with you.) BUT the only reason she hasn't is 'cause she layed, oops, I mean lawyered, up with JB. But Z's name is known in some variation by an awful lot of her friends, even if it was "Zanny the nanny." IIRC, though, even Cindy mentioned Z's name in the latest interviews that were released. So Z's name is still out there. Me thinks C&G should be very, very, careful, unless they want to become defendants as well.

Very good points. :clap: I'm beginning to think Casey might have been smart enough not to specifically id this ZG when LE showed her the photo because she knew she was falsely accusing somebody of something and ZG could've had an airtight alibi which Casey wouldn't know and it could backfire big time in Casey's face. MOO

ZG sounds like she went the route of Amber F. with the makeover which sure helped her a lot! Good idea. Presenting her in the best light possible is always advantageous in a high profile case. I recall the stark difference between the first time we saw Amber and then after Gloria got ahold of her.

The search was done, and some of the stuff was released. Where do you think all the escort sites cam from?

I am in the middle of a defamation/libel/slander suit. My name has been dragged through the mud pit and back again and I am still having a difficult time proving my case. I bet that if I had taken my story to the media immediately and rasied a big stink, instead of rising above the actions of the people that I am suing, and acting respectfully, then I may have stood a better chance.

We've already been through this question...If KC had said to LE, 'yep, that's her,' there would have gone her defense. Even if she had ever seen Z before, why, oh why, would she identify her? If she had, she couldn't have changed her story to JBlanchard Park and Z's sister, or to Puerto Rico.

And the media, bloggers, whomever, could have never taken a name and run with it if KC hadn't put it out there in the first place. Ergo, KC's guilty of defaming the good name of ZG. Period.

Makes sense that someone on the computer would be checking the ZGF on 7/16. I always wondered why they had said there were other searches because I did read the files. I'm just a tad confused because YOU had questioned (on another thread) why Casey had been searching for ZFG eight months before Caylee went missing.

I'm not sure what you're asking. The searches for ZFG were done on the desktop computer on 7/16. If you're asking about the files with dates of 7/10 and 6/12 - those are history files. Think of them as storage files. The cookies created from the searching on 7/16 were stored in files that already existed that were created on those dates.

...and I'm starting to think she was just trying to put a face to the "name" Zani she had been using for so long. Remember, she hadn't been working for quite some time. I believe her parents were getting VERY suspicious. GA took off after her for a reason. I think she was "beefing" up her story so to speak. Why? Well, either to cover up what she really was doing...perhaps because she got a real kick out of her lying (especially when people believed her)...or simply because she was just plain bored. I agree...I don't think she planned it to go down like this.
