I can't for the life of me see this as just being random. What are the chances? A random criminal happens to be walking through a random trailer park at 6:30 am in the morning?? Then, the randomness goes further, because an unaccompanied teenager just happens to be outside and warming up a car by herself at that hour. And then this random criminal in a random place at this random time, just decides to NOT steal the car. But to steal the girl AND the car.

Add to that, he was obviously not driving another car to park and take this one or they'd have found his or some other abandoned car. He couldn't have had his own car parked somewhere nearby, or they'd have found the aunt's stolen SUV.

The only reasonable explanation that I can come up with, is someone that is somehow connected to this family. OR, more likely, someone that was living in the park across the street or within view of this family/girl and knew her sometime movements in the early morning. Then it would seem if there was someone from the trailer park that is "missing" or has been gone for several days that they'd be investigating that.

Man, it just seems like nothing makes sense on this case. It's frustrating to not have a single clue this far in!!

Thanks for all of your ideas on this one everyone!

If it was someone who lived in the park, how would he get back home again? Couldn't drive the SUV back to the trailer park.

I wonder why they didn't have the sister talk to the 911 dispatcher?
Obviously not ideal but if she spoke English it could have aided in the response time.
We've seen that before so I wondered why not in this case.
The 911 call to report Hania’s abduction was made by a neighbor when a relative ran over to get help. The call came in to the Robeson County Communications Center at 6:54 in the morning on November 5, 2018. A female caller speaking Spanish was on the line, and the Robeson County dispatcher quickly requested a Spanish translator to join the call.
Per the Charlotte FBI report, the 911 call came in at 6:54AM by a neighbor when a relative ran over to get help. It's possible the Mom was securing her home to protect her other children including the little Sister from going outside or being taken. (The little Sister appears to only be about age 10). I think the emergency call would be traumatizing for a 10 year old, and fear and panic hampered the adults placing the emergency call in addition to language barrier. FBI reports a translator quickly joined the 911 call. I believe the TV News interview with the child was the following day. MOO

IIRC, the time stamp on the video of the car exiting the trailer park is while the 9-11 call was being made. They made the call fast. It all happened in an instant. :(

Ftr just sayin, just becasue there is no indication at this time that she knew her abductor doesn’t necessarily mean that she didn’t know her abductor, kwim? Also LE does fib sometimes, just sayin.

Not saying this is the case, just sayin.

(That was a lot of “just sayin”s)
So what are ya sayin, Mags? ( haha, good to see you!)

If a kid had been snatched from my front yard, you can bet your sweet patootie I wouldn't be letting a ten-year-old out of the house, no matter what the language issues might be.

Where is Hania?!

Great notes Pommy, I was hoping you would join us in the thread. One minor correction-- Hania is 13, not 12.

I was under the impression that the sister could be heard in the background of the 911 call, which is why I wondered why she didn't simply talk to get the information out quickly. It sounded like a lot of time was lost working on the translation which is why I said something about it.

Neither would I, the call would be made from my house so it wouldn't be an issue. I wasn't suggesting someone send the kid out by herself to find help or something.

Thank Pommy! As always, you do great work on here!

I haven't been able to read all of the posts so forgive me if this has been gone over. The perp stole a car of a relative of Hania right? This sounds like someone who knows the family or a family member and imo relatively young and not a seasoned criminal. jmo.

The sister is 8 years old (name changed to initials by me):
We talked with Hania's eight-year-old sister, HP*, with permission from her aunt.

HP* said her sister went to the car to start it for a relative who was taking them to school.

“Somewhere out of nowhere a man just came in. We don’t know where he came from and just pushed her in. I heard her scream for no reason. I heard her scream very loud," said HP*.

She said her mother is devastated and worried.

Many people who live in the mobile home park are worried. Some of them don't speak English well, but said they're in fear.
Amber Alert issued for abducted Lumberton girl, 13

I wonder why the aunt would be the one to give permission for an interview and not her mother?

Police said they have no reason to believe she knew her abductor but also said they are not excluding anyone (that doesn't rule out that he has a connection to the family IMO, but so far seems like they have no indication of that). See notes from the last press conference here:
AMBER ALERT - NC - Hania Noelia Aguilar, 13, abducted, Lumberton, 5 Nov 2018

I knew you would, and hopefully your notes can be put in the beginning of the next thread. :)
Her birthday is March 21, 2005, if you want to add that. See the post here:
AMBER ALERT - NC - Hania Noelia Aguilar, 13, abducted, Lumberton, 5 Nov 2018
Thank you, I've added it to my Word file, but it's too late to edit my post. I'll wait and see if there are more additions/changes and then post again.

So, what do we have here? Stranger abduction, opportunistic?
MOO

I personally don't think so. Those are rare and he was prepared....laying in wait imo. Plus he stole her aunts (?) SUV. I think this will turn out to be someone known to the family or at least known to her. imo
