Good closing by Mr. Faucette -- poor guy, his voice was going! (And such a looker! What a doll! And his two brothers are just as handsome.)

Why didn't they give Faucette a 2nd chair ADA on this case? I cannot remember a case in Wake Co. Sup. Court that had only one ADA -- even a rube beginner could have at least flipped the exhibits for his closing on the screen. But he did it & did a good job of it. He was nervous, bless him -- he was talking a little too fast which is what most of us do when we are nervous when we are speaking in front of a group -- and he was speaking to the jury, and in front of the Judge and the gallery and on live-stream. He can relax just a bit now, but soon he'll be sweating it again!

===> How long until we get a verdict, Fellow Sleuthers? How long? <===

We're back!

I wonder what Caroline Elliot thinks about Jonathan? She has had to buddy-up with him for this trial... does she like him?

TWO BROTHERS, too? :winkaway:

Depending on how long these instructions last, they could have a verdict today. I don't see any question, except for the two charges related to Nation may take some deciphering as to which one or both.

Hope I'm not jinxing anything by saying this.

Jurors retired to deliberation room and packet being delivered - 3:25pm.

I haven't been able to watch the closing arguments yet, but got unexpectedly emotion upon hearing that the jury was deliberating. Not sure my nerves can take the wait.

Anyone have any guess on how long these deliberations may take?

I'm thinking by lunchtime tomorrow. The verdict sheets will take prolly 30 minutes to complete & check for accuracy!

The jury's deciding:

A. Murder of Jamie Hahn
1. a. Premeditated: G/NG
1. b. Felony murder: G/NG
OR
2. 2nd degree: G/NG
OR
3. NG

AND
B. Attempted murder of Nation Hahn: G/NG
AND
C. Assault with deadly weapon w/intent to kill inflicting serious injury upon NH: G/NG

Right? Are there any other charges they're considering?

Good, smart jurors, guilty to all: 1st degree murder, attempted 1st degree murder and AWDWITKISI.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Finally, Broyhill will get accommodations, clothing, and food for free -- what he has been wanted since he left home -- for LIFE.

Sentencing tomorrow morning at 9:30am. Jury is released but may return for sentencing if they so wish.

There was an eye witness! It's due to JBs selfish, arrogant, entitled, attention-seeking disposition that the Court and jurors had to listen to all that ridiculous crap which had zero defense substance. It's a shame, but at least round one is over. I'm sure this :butthead: will appeal.

Will he speak when given the opportunity? Hope not. All he does is lie anyway.

Borndem....Thanks for all your post and keeping this trial updated. I am still surprised that there wasn't more interest in this trial. Such a tragedy for such a wonderful young couple just starting out life together.

See you all tomorrow for the sentencing -- family members might give impact statements for the record. We'll see what he gets on the AWDWWIKISI and Attempted 1st Deg Murder. Let's hope to hear, "consecutive"!

WHAT? WOW! A verdict hours and hours ago! I can't believe it came so fast. Thanks ya'll for your great comments. I second consecutive sentences!
