I'd say like stmary said before, LE weren't prepared for the scene that met them, paramedics thought they were being called to a cardiac arrest I'd say it was pandemonium. And then mm in the foetal position tm having to urinate between two doors of the police car, the kids, I would think it was a difficult scene to get a handle on. Imo
Where was SM at that time. Why did she go there and not to where SM was.? I would have thought after the police station her first priority would be to see the children?

Yes. Having asked could he go back inside to use the bathroom LE had to protect the scene so he had to urinate between the doors of the police car.
Outside the property, Mr Martens - who was dressed in a red shirt and shorts - asked could he use the bathroom.
Shame there was no evidence bottle to catch the dribbles at least..

Noting in this post, red shirt and shorts, had he been back to the room to put on shorts, then surely sharon would have known what happened before she asked LE is everything ok
