We know it had to have taken GH & AH longer than just 30 min to dismember. Remember they asked Sha to keep the boys out and then AH told Sha they needed more time. These were not people skilled with using power tools. It wouldn't surprise me if they took hours to accomplish this task. They weren't "packing," they weren't "sitting around talking" (as AH claimed). They were doing dismemberment-related and concealment-related tasks for upwards of 6 hours or so.

Exactly! Just prepping the area, with plastic tarps ( I assume), would take time and clean up afterwards, again more time. The dismemberment, IMO, did not take a couple of buzzes to accomplish. I bet there was a lot of cursing and swilling of booze to get the job done. Didn't Grant try to buy or did buy mouthwash? I could imagine a person would gag and vomit while seeing the gore and smelling the trapped gases.

Same schedule the judge has had them on for the trial. One morning and one afternoon break plus lunch.

Sorry that was sarcasm at it's lamest. I've been watching this trial since opening. :)

I just want a verdict and the right verdict. I don't want her little girl voice helping her escape murder 1.

I wonder if deliberations are getting intense and thus the need for a break so soon. I feel for the jurors. This is a VERY convoluted case and requires nitpicking to get to the facts and the truth.

There is a color bar being shown on WRAL instead of the DELIBERATING sign. Does this mean we are in for an even fancier notice?

I thought I overslept....but I see I missed nothing!

Can anyone tell me last question? Was it the saw one?

Most juries here stick to the same schedule they were on during the trial itself. I think they just get trained on that schedule.

The color bar is usually up during breaks

We're in the courtroom!

ETA: Back to resume deliberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrations.

I got here late too and asked the same question.

Nope, nothing new. Just waiting impatiently....

Another thing that Amanda said that IMO, reveals something about her that is off. I don't think she even gets it. But, perhaps I'm being too picky. Several times she used the term, "When we took possession of the boys." To me that's an odd concept. You might take possession of a piano or credit card, but children? It struck me as odd. Even when BH asked her to explain, she didn't get it. She confirmed that terminology and stuck with that phrase.

That's funny because I was talking to mine about this, too. Are we a warped bunch or what?!? Ha! He believes it would be very difficult to do this alone--to steady the Sawzall (which really requires two hands) while also steadying the target. He also said he thought you would need to lift the parts (I'm so sorry, I don't know how else to say this) up off the ground in order to avoid damaging the floor or the tub. Did someone testify about this?

Ohhh wow thank you for your husband's insights, or thank your husband I guess I should say...LOL!

Wow I think it could possibly have been just like he said....someone (Amanda) was holding Laura up, while Grant sawed her (sorry). That is why there is no damage to tub or tile.

Yes, Gaskins said that in closing re: no damage anywhere to bathroom. I don't know if it was part of testimony or not. Gaskins even did a demonstration in closing with a saw....he compared it to cutting wood or something....he said the pressure of the hard material (like bones) is going to put more pressure on, causing the person holding the saw to push harder. Then, once it gets past that (bones, etc.), the pressure comes off, the saw would "slip", causing damage to whatever was underneath the body.

He was saying that to say that Grant didn't saw in the bathroom.

BUT....omg....I think you have hit the nail on the head. Amanda was holding her up.

So actually Gaskins' just "proved" that both of them had to be there for the dismemberment, just like all of us though.

Thank you!

Hopefully the jury has someone like your husband on it!!!

Amanda looks too cheery....what's up with that...and her lawyer all smiles...

I wonder what she thinks of them now? She is in shock here, but over time...I can't imagine actually knowing these murderers.

My daughter's boyfriend worked with GH on designing computer graphics for some of GH's stuff a couple of months before the murder. Boyfriend said GH gave him a bad vibe and he couldn't wait to get finished and be done with all interaction with GH.

Does anyone know if Grant actually recorded anything with Earth, Wind and Fire? Amanda testified he went to CA for that. She seemed so proud too. I thought that was rather inappropriate to name drop that way.
