In response to prosecution question, Corvin says McNeill is smart enough to "fake good" or "fake bad."

Dr. Corvin met McNeill in Sept & then in Jan... Then this past Sunday. He thought something was off but didn't realize problem 'til Sunday

Both docs have also said McNeill has tried to hide his "powers" - that he doesn't want to go to mental hospital

McNeill told both docs about "Sophia" - a diety-type being that he senses/sees, helps him sense/know things about the world. Sophia=wisdom

Dr. George Corvin is now testifying he also met w/ McNeill. His concerns also: McNeill's disorder hindered defense decisions.

As child McNeill said he'd retire by age 35. Over wkend said would still happen, maybe by winning lotto when acquitted

McNeill predicted over the weekend an 11.4% chance he'd be acquitted, based on his "connection" to jurors

Doctor now says he questions his own diagnosis re: McNeill's incompetence to stand trial. Was visibly rattled on stand

Hilke admits to judge he's not absolutely sure about his finding.

Prosecution has questioned Hilke. Judge is now asking questions. Hilke repeats finding that McNeill can't proceed.

Don't you just love it. For locals, I just heard on the news that the resentencing hearing of the killer of Eve Carson, the student body president at UNC, had to be postponed from today because Hilkey was busy off in Fayetteville testifying at Mario McNeills hearing.

I watched it on full screen. What I noted is the change in demeanor of Mario from his entry (smirky smile, superior attitude, very nonchalant appearing body language) and when the judge was reading his ruling at the end (his eyes widened ever so noticeably, there was no smirk then, a look of chit just got really real IMO)

I can't wait. I am so anxious for this trial to begin.

Yes, I noticed McNeill's different facial expressions too. I was really sweating it today after Hilkey's assessment. Being local, I've run into Hilkey's testimony before. :banghead: When I heard on the evening news that Eve Carson's killers resentencing hearing had to be postponed because Hilkey was also his *meal ticket to crazy* it just aggravated me so much I thought I'd explode. :scared: :banghead: :scared:

Hi, again, Glee -:seeya:- Yep, I saw the same headline/article! It was very encouraging -- the Dr. said that the ~man~ in the F'ville case was competent, and so I'm hoping he will be as judicious in this case, too. It sounds like he would not be fooled very easily by some murderer trying to act crazy....
