I hope that was said in jest or with heavy sarcasm and was not indicative of what the mitigators actually intended to argue on MAM's behalf. Although, after hearing JA's mitigators I would not be surprised if that is exactly what we would have heard in this case.

I've always thought if one were convicted of anything horrendous and had to face life in prison or the death penalty, for me the death penalty would be the easiest way to go. I cannot imagine one day of my life in prison. Gives me such severe sadness just to even think of it.
He wanted his freedom and he didn't get it so yes, I think death is what he's wanting for himself, also. He wants out of this and that would be his way to get it.

I was wrong. I was thinking mitigators were people (mitigation specialists). Prosecutor was actually making fun of the mitigating factors that had been filed. Not people. :blushing:
