This can't be right..can it..I thought the reason BD allowed her to live there was because AD had a job and a place to live..where was she living since she was kicked-out of this place?
There were a lot of RED flags...no one was looking!!
This is so messed up--How could AD demand SD live with her, when she didn't even have her name on a lease? She was living illegally, there with her sister.

There was no reason to turn her over to her, and less reason to let her stay with only 2 days clothes----Nothing can be done to bring this precious child back....and "the next time something happens won't help now...but quit making up stories about believing she was safe and provided for.....she didn't even have a legal place for them to stay!!!

Somewhere in one of the threads, there is a list of places AD was evicted from with the last one being August 2009 around the same time AD attempted to rent from Sleepy Hollow.

I think you might have meant to use BL that let Saniya live with AD because she had a place to live and a job.

AD didn't demand from BL for Shaniya to live with her. At least I have never seen anyone state "demand". As far as we know, AD asked and BL allowed it to happen.

I have yet to see how this subpoena that was issued is connected to either AD's mother or family, employer etc.

Just a thought here. In my community, there are a few nursing care facilities that are under a different name but all owned by one comglomerate company. Possible this Administrator has worked at one of the facilities that AD worked at some point in her career. She/he would have had all access to personell records and could have possibly been the person that hired her.

(bbm) Sad but true nsu, SH MH Mgr Davenport said she'd begun initiating eviction proceedings on the mh--which wasn't even in AD's name nor were she or any of her children permitted to be occupants--back in October. Not to mention it was untenable or uninhabitable due to sewer leaks and had to be evacuated  There was nothing stable about her housing situation... AD had much more than simply "financial problems."

:parrot:

When my husband and I were first married, he was in the Marine Corps and stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC. We didn't have much money then and we lived in a mobile home park similiar to the one managed by Ms. Davenport. There were sewer problems that were the parks responsibility but nothing was done so we were forced to move. It's not that I'm trying to shift blame here but I do believe that Ms. Davenport had some responsibility toward getting that problem fixed. It MUST have been obvious to everyone around the MH. Had she gone there, she surely would have noticed. So, IMO, she's got a little bit of blame here for not making sure that was a safe environment for the kids that lived there.

I forget, does anyone know what kind of sewer problems they were having?
TIA!

Hi, I just popped in this very busy morning to mention that i saw on the bottom of the screen on NG last night that "Shaniya's dad will be on Monday night, ready to talk AND answer your questions." Did anyone else see that?

The subpeona that I am talking about is the one listed here:

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Found Deceased NC-Shaniya Davis, 5, Allegedly sold by mother 11/10/09 #25 that is being discussed as IF it is AD's mom. This is what I am trying to figure out how this person is being associated with AD's mother.

HI I am back took the kids to the parade, did you see me wave to you all.....:)

I just read this heart warming story...
Shaq's still resting shoulder, but his heart is making moves:

Meanwhile, O'Neal's time spent resting has evidently included charity work. According to the Fayetteville Observer, O'Neal has paid for the funeral of Shaniya Davis, a 5-year-old who last week was found murdered in North Carolina. Police have said the girl's mother, Antoinette Davis, sold her daughter into sexual slavery.

"I was sitting at home watching it on the news and the story brought a tear to my eye," O'Neal said Wednesday. "Being a law enforcement guy that investigates crimes against children, I wanted to be able to help in some way."
The funeral is estimated to cost between $2,500 and $5,000. O'Neal's gesture is not unprecedented. In 2005 he paid for the funeral of legendary L.A. Lakers big man George Mikan. Davis' father, Bradley Lockhart, started a trust fund to raise money to help with the costs of his daughter's funeral and burial. That money will now go to help local groups and charities working with neglected children, according to the Fayetteville newspaper.

Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance said the family has a history with the Department of Social Services as far as custody of Shaniya and other children in the house.

Chance said police also have been called to the home before. Officers served a search warrant at the home over the summer and found various illegal drugs inside.

Does this refer to the time they were living in the mh? Does anyone know?

Happy Thanksgiving to all WS'ers.

If I am remembering correctly, the warrant was served on Wall St. (or maybe it was another address). They weren't yet in the trailer. I believe they found drug paraphernalia, but no drugs in the house at the time. It's seems like nobody was charged (could be wrong about that).

Bless Shaq's heart. That was a wonderful thing for him to do and despite the fact that it was just a drop in the bucket to him considering how much money he has, it really is great to know that there are some people out there who still care.
