Again, I just had a thought of little Shaniya Davis, the 5/y/o daughter of Antoinette Davis. AD is serving time for exchanging her daughter in payment for a drug debt. Her dealer/boyfriend (Mario McNeill) is on Death Row. Davis handed Shaniya over to him, knowing he would have sex w/Shaniya. Sometime after that, McNeill killed the little girl and tossed her body a few miles away.

Bear in mind that the situation of the crime is different from Teghan's, but the convictions on her record are many & interesting. She gave a plea of guilty, so there was no trial for her.

The Cumberland County DA threw the book at her. Take a look -- just to show that, IMO, more charges should be heaped upon Teghan's "mother."

I am sorry, but this technical **** about the rape charge and sexual assault, etc.
None of it matters.
If this jury knows what was done to her genitals (Not sure if they have heard testimony on that yet, or had to look at pictures) it will not matter.
In fact, ANY object put INTO a child should land you in jail for life, at the very least.

Seriously, this thread ....I literally have to walk away sometimes because my BP just goes through the roof.

ETA: She's been charged with negligent child abuse.

Let's hope the DA is waiting until this trial is over to pile on more charges. IANAL, but child endangerment, sexual servitude, reckless disregard -- whatever. They surely socked it to Shaniya's mother, and her total sentences amount to only 21 years and 9 months. Not enuff, IMO, by a long shot.

I just checked the Johnston County court calendar for "H. Reyes" and nothing came up. I've been checking it from time to time -- nada. I'll keep checking.

ETA: I just looked under "Reyes" by itself -- no hits.

So...here's the issue in court, #JonathanRichardson originally charged w rape but now a sexual offense. Issue over semen evidence admitted.

In NC, "First-degree rape" is a Class B1 felony, as is "sexual offense of child by adult." A B1 felony is just below 1st Degree Murder (a Class A felony) in terms of sentencing.

I can only assume that's the charge against JR. The offenses call for the same amount of sentence, but I guess the DA thought that one was more appropriate/descriptive than the other.

Please excuse my worn-out-by-now reference, but here it comes again -- Mario McNeill was convicted of that (in addition to the DP and a bunch of others) and he got 34 years, 5 mos. for that alone.

ETA: Notice the "concurrent" vs. "consecutive" sentences issued by the judge. Bravo for him!

I was looking around on the site also Born.
I did see that you can sign up for email notifications of what is on schedule.
(It was on the criminal court page that had about a week of sessions listed, below the list).
I did not sign up though, but maybe I will.
I want to be alerted when she finally gets her day.

Hi friends. Duty has kept me away. And for what I read, might as well. I cannot MOFOU believe what I read. Like Nymeria said, I would not be surprised if someone went off on this life-form right in court.
