I feel I need to correct this thought process because Teghan's family is getting unjust comments like this. As I understand it, Her family (grandma/grandpa Skiba, Maternal Grandma & Aunts) weren't aware that this monster had her. Helen didn't bother to tell anyone when she was leaving for training and chose to move out of her mother's home and into the shed of horrors, she did not answer or return phone calls etc. No one knew where Teghan was other than: Helen R., the monster, and monster's grandparents. Those are the people I personally hold responsible for this and I hold contempt for.

ETA- And sorry Judge, and court system, but he is convicted and way beyond guilty. Time for the victim to get the attention.

I don't think there is anything the public can do to directly or indirectly influence the jury more than the photos of Teghans bruised and beaten little body have already. Their quick decision yesterday spoke volumes about how they feel about the defendant. A purple ribbon or a picket sign won't change anything. IMHO

Considering that the Creeches haven't been charged at all, I'm guessing some of the concern might be that members of the community might be angry enough to exact some vigilante justice on them. Such an action could influence the jury.

There were so many opportunities for Teghan to be rescued early on. The monster was in charge of a child in the middle of summer and she was never seen playing outside. She was living in a shed with no bathroom and she was never once brought into the Creech home to bathe or use the toilet. Even the stupidest moron could put two and two together and figure out that something was not right in that situation. The grandmother's willful decision to put her own fears before the needs of a defenseless child cannot sit well with the citizens of Smithfield right now.

RIP Sweet Teghan. The next phase of justice is coming.

Exactly, Rhoz -- Thanks for posting.

With HR being so secretive, she double-doomed her poor little daughter, IMO.

Even if she gets the maximum sentence(s), it will never be enuff.

BBM... I believe he planned it. He wasn't happy to be playing daddy, as his defense attorney said. He wasn't excited about having a family. A defenseless victim fell into his lap, and he couldn't believe his luck. If Teghan had been left with any other childless person, they would have stopped on the way home for things like fruit snacks, juice boxes, coloring books and crayons. It would have been "Hey, Teghan, let's stop and get you some snacks. What sounds good?" No normal person would have purchased a padlock and only a padlock. It makes no sense. He wasn't bringing home a crate of gold coins. He was bringing home a child.

IMO he NEVER planned to allow Teghan access to his grandparents' home. Remember, he lied to her mom and said his sister and her kids were coming to stay. It came out in court that it was a complete lie. There were never plans for grandma to help watch Teghan while he was at work. His sister never had plans to visit. He planned her torture. He worked towards it. He lied so that her mom would leave her with him. He is a liar. A deviant. A sadistic child abuser. He got exactly what he wanted. Now, he is finally getting what he deserves.

I think he had been grooming HR and Teghan from very early on in the relationship. This is evidenced by the fact that he tested HR's's tolerance for violence against Teghan several times prior to July 5th.

Contrary to what the defense tried to portray, a monster like this does spring up full grown in one moment of "losing it". IMO he's been on a downward spiral into evil for many many years.

RIP sweet Teghan. The next phase of justice is coming.
