It is amazing to me after watching the landfill video, that they could hone in on anything....looks like it is lifting and spreading stuff so how can they read dates? I am so confused. Looks to me if they found "dates" how in the world could they link anything together.....admitting I know nothing about landfills other than I admire these guys that have to do this dirty work. Please find this child.

If you rewatch that press conference, they have the date. That's how they have honed in on a specific cell to sort through. The fact that they think they can accomplish this in "up to 5 days" and not be there other than during operating hours make me believe they are looking for something rather large that would stand out in the pile...like a mattress/boxspring.

MOO

Thank you,,,it helps to hear from locals. Wish you had gone up and peeked in the window,lol...never know what you might have seen...computer perhaps? toys? LOL

It really surprised me that no one was around or they had not even quarantined that area off. I probably could have looked in the windows.

However, Defense Attorney Scott Reilly found it unsettling that the judge increased what he believed was an already excessive bail.

Reilly believes that if the judge paid attention to the standard guidelines for those charged with obstruction of justice instead of the media attention surrounding the case, Elisa Baker's bail would be set at $10,000.

****rrriiiiiiiight****

I'll bet his projected billing hours to the county will far exceed her bond, maybe he should post it. I need to hush. :censored:

There seems to be (more than usual) some very bad reporting in this case. Too many variations, IMO.

Maybe they are also looking for a receipt for a new mattress or boxsprings? Maybe that's why they were at the furniture store?

What was the outcome of that case? I am not familiar. I am a newbie Websleuthie.

Sylar was found deceased. He was IDed by DNA around a month or so after the discovery. Still waiting on Tox results to see if there will be charges against the woman (women) that had physical custody of him when he disappeared.

Back on topic:

Welcome to WS Sherlockhomey. Glad you're here :)

Thanks for your insight as a local. (whispers: don't go peekin in any windows LOL we don't want to have to read about you here LOL :D)

They are probably trying to just figure out where some of the trash is from maybe from the addresses on old mail, newspapers, and such. That way they can narrow down to her county or neighborhood. Five days seems very quick to me considering the size of this place. They have their work cut out for them for sure.

Great post! I wasa just thinking "...but how can the mattress assist with the timeline"?
THANKS!

Hi, Pel!! I had the same thing.. also had antibiotics and prednisone. Still not completely over it and it's been 2 months. They won't give me a flu shot till I'm well. ~sigh~
Here's to our health... hope we are both better soon!

Mark me up as 3... unfortunately I didn't see a doctor quick enough and I got the IV..:blushing: They wanted to keep me over night, but left it up to me... I went home... I hate hospitals.... and I wash my hands alot too.. even antibacterial soap..

Zahra's mattress / spring is definitely from a twin sized bed....... the mattress at the landfill looks like a full sized to me...but it's hard to say for sure......

So the police didn't need a search warrarnt to remove items (mattresses, etc) from the home because AB gave them permission????????

Awww I'm so sorry to hear.. it's a virus that's spreading uber fast it seems.

My daughter had it last week and she was sicker than I've ever seen her and she's 18! Which made me think of Zahra and if she really DID have something like that and she wasn't being given water and watched over consistantly she could have gotten much sicker, stayed sick longer and died. SO sad to think of.

I hear you and it maybe a possibility, just right now I can think of several so when the time comes I'll await the medical examiners report.

To add to your theory, she's also is a lung cancer survivor so it's not impossible as a theory.

That's what I was trying to figure out too Mommy2Sarah.

On the shot that isn't zoomed in at the dump. It does look like it could possibly be a twin.

When we see the zoomed in one (thanks by the way! :)) it looks like it might be full sized.

Wonder if it is the same mattress in both shots and if so, which size is it? I'll have to see what other's have to say. I'm still pondering and eyeballing it.

JMHO.

Thanks Blondy, good to see you out sleuthing again too. The pack is back!!! :woohoo:

Shoulda seen the picture my daughter drew of me in the morning once. lol

\\|||//

Close the windows Blondy, it's the winds in the Blue Ridge today. ;)

LOL they've been closed for quite a while now due to chilly weather.LOL

For those of you waiting to get the flu shot when I got mine I was told it includes the swine flu vaccine.
I didn't know that till after the needle was in my arm. I seem to be doing ok though.

To everyone who is sick I hope you get better real soon. :blowkiss:

Just think what the LE knows that we don't! If it is true that AB didn't know what his wife was doing I hope he is telling everything he knows.Apparently her daughter knows a lot too.I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall if he really visited her in the jail!

It was interesting because last night on the WLOS TV News Channel 13 (Asheville) they stated that the daughter reported her mom had been having a relationship with a man in England for over a year and had received OVER $10,000.00 and on the video I swear I heard the daughter say over $10,000. I bet the woman was using her daughter's name and possibly her address...

I just don't understand why there were 3 passports??

What was the outcome of that case? I am not familiar. I am a newbie Websleuthie.

A child's skeletal remains were found and just recently DNA came back positively identifying them as little Sylar. They are awaiting toxicology results at this time. Cause and manner of death have not been released and no person of interest or arrests made, however, the court of public opinion has prosecuted, convicted and hanged the custodial mother.

So the police didn't need a search warrarnt to remove items (mattresses, etc) from the home because AB gave them permission????????

They more than likely went on and got a Search Warrant and we haven't seen it yet. Might not ever see it either.

To answer your question. Legally I don't think they need one if they have his permission. But in every case I've seen they usually CYA and get one anyway beforehand. JMHO.

Hey Frogin :),

I can't locate the vid that has the image of the 4 LE dragging a mattress which is the one I wanted to screen capture for sure.

I did screen capture this one. Poor quality that's from quality of the vid because I went full screen to capture it.

This is one of the mattresses at dump. Looks twin sized? Maybe?

It sure looks twin sized to me!

Hi all! Just checking in. I hope I don't catch that dreaded flu while I am here, LOL!

Either, EB started out with Zahra in one vehicle and had 2nd thoughts for some reason and moved her to the other one.

Or, EB placed Zahra in one auto and met AB while on his way home from werk for a switch to the other vehicle.

At the very least, I think AB could be involved with disposing of Zahra. He would have the ability and resources to dig while EB would have difficulty considering her size. I have tried to withold comments about AB because IDK what to believe. But for now I am leaning towards his involvement at least in disposal.

I really hate typing that and thinking of poor Zahra being 'disposed' of and hidden with no proper burial.

Zahra, where are you sweet girl?

All MOO

That seems to be the case, but her previous bed could have been a full-size one, or perhaps they don't know what size it was and are gonna check all the mattresses they find?

Thank you for those great side-by-side pics, M2S! :)

Well I found this, but it's from the same station that didn't even know about the Impala on the search warrant and look at this answer...shhhheesh.

Why wasn't the father with Zahra, why did the stepmom have her?

We understand Zahra's father, Adam Baker, was out of town working from Thursday to the time she was reported missing Saturday at 2:30. Reports surfaced that he came home and Elisa Baker came running out of the house to tell him Zahra was gone.
Elisa Baker was with Zahra in May when she received the hearing aids from Starkey Hearing and Speedway Children's Charities. When News 14 Carolina interviewed Elisa Baker, she said she was Zahra's mom and didn't specify stepmom.

So hey, Reporter, does AB have a twin brother that was there for the fire at 5 ish that morning? GMAB. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
