I'm going to hang on to the thought poor Savannah was drugged quickly and did not know or feel what was about to happen.

Yes, I was thinking they may have subdued & drugged her (or vice versa) upon her entry into the apartment.

Also, I don't believe the 3x consent to searches inside that apartment employed the use of K9's, though K9s were initially used in other search areas.

I believe Savanna was inside that very apartment & I can't come up with any other explanation for the 15 mins of a constant banging sound in the bathroom (followed by shower water) heard by the neighbor below at the approximate time Savanna would have entered their apt.

I do believe she was somehow removed (still pregnant) quickly after the bathroom banging incident.

I know. I have been wondering why they picked her. The picture they have on their phone is the picture of her from her sex offense. Here's the video clip of them showing the phone: https://www.wday.com/news/4316781-police-receive-new-leads-connection-missing-pregnant-woman at min. 2:23
And here is the photo from the original case: http://nofreelunch.areavoices.com/2010/04/03/pregnant-nd-woman-accused-of-sex-with-sons-friend/ She didn't have the lip piercing at the time, and I can see some similarities with the woman accused of kidnapping SLG.

OMG! How bizarre is this case? A doppelganger on top of everything else! Good morning all! Just checking in and not caught up yet. Thanks to everyone posting and updating and commenting. Prayers for Savanna's family and her boyfriend and the wee one without her mommy! Much sadness today for all. :candle:

"At least six investigators were seen donning hazmat suits Thursday night at the scene. And one investigator with a shovel was seen walking to the back of the apartment building, 2825 9th St. N., where LaFontaine-Greywind lives with her parents in a basement unit."

Snip

"Tarita Silk, LaFontaine-Greywind's aunt, told The Forum police told the family that they found a 2-day-old baby in the building. Silk said when police entered the apartment, a woman was heard screaming."

Good to see you Margarita! You bring so much knowledge to the cases we follow here as do so many others who post! There are so many great posters here, nurses, doctors, lawyers, the mods, Tricia, the people who have lived such horrors and the people who care so much for the victims and their families.

I have to wonder what the picture was of? From your link:

At one point Thursday afternoon, police allowed family members into the apartment building, and they emerged carrying baby clothes and a photograph.

I wonder if the 4 men held poor Savanna down in the tub or shower? I cannot imagine Savanna's family living such a horror! :grouphug:

Did the two arrested ever do any interviews with media at all?

there will be an 11am CST press conference by the Fargo Police. it will be broadcast on kfgo.com

Did the two arrested ever do any interviews with media at all?

I can only imagine what these two idiots would have said. Who knows, maybe they would have been arrested sooner.

Been checking in, I am from the area, small town near fargo, this has sent chill waves throughout ND.

One thing I can anyone on national level, we generally don't go to Fargo anymore, we view it has a severe drug problem, and lots of people there seem off. This is like everywhere in the nation, happened overnight. I feel for the girls family, maybe this will be a wakeup call for ND to get on top of crime and drugs. This guy should have been in jail for his pass. but this is constant in ND, our population boomed, our prisons are full, and they let everyone off easy.

Welcome Mr Kyle! It's always good to have a local's perspective of the case. Thank you for speaking up!

I hate listening to these people chit-chatting about old cases and laughing. So bizarre. They apparently don't realize people can hear them. (On Fargo PD live feed.) They are talking about some old brutal case and blood everywhere. Ugh. (Different case, NOT this one.)

A brief timeline at link below:

http://www.wday.com/news/4317545-recap-key-events-savanna-lafontaine-greywind-case

And this from link:

< snip> 2:30 p.m., Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind sends her 16-year-old son to the upstairs apartment to get his sister, who was to drive him to work. Her brother knocks on the door, but no one answers. He hears what he thinks is a sewing machine running in the apartment. Savanna's father, Joe Greywind, then knocks on the upstairs apartment door. A woman answers the door and says Savanna will be a bit longer.

What's with the possible sound of the running sewing machine? I haven't touched a sewing machine in many, many decades...can you get it to run continuously without actually operating it?

They are making it sound like they had these suspects under surveillance but I am going to have call BS on that or they would have seen them come and go with the baby much sooner.

Neither are cooperating with the investigation

Asked for counsel

constant observation
released minimal information as to not tip off the suspects
warrants issued Wednesday
taken into custody at two separate locations
Brooke Crews was with baby in apartment when the baby was found
indications are that baby is Savanna's baby, DNA testing is being conducted but not expected for a few days
both suspects refusing to answer questions regarding Savanna

Police are asking people to check their property including checking dumpsters. Is this normal?! Asking random people to check dumpsters??
