I know we can't talk about the scanner up here, I'm listening and am guessing they are on their own channel because all that I've heard in the last 10 minutes has been normal scanner stuff, traffic stops and such.

The son, Roberto C. Martinez-Marinero, reportedly told investigators that he killed his mother, threw his 5-year-old brother Josue Ramirez-Marinero in the Elkhorn River and put his 11-month-old brother Angel in a dumpster. Angel was found alive and well. Josue has not been found.

that answers part of my above post.......HE put the baby in the dumpster............so why save one and not the other?

it wasn't because the five year old could identify him, he turned himself in and confessed.......so why???

OMG. He threw his baby brother off a bridge? And slaughtered his own mother? :sigh: Throw away the key. :jail:

I suspect Josue's body has been found. Seems to be some very upset searchers on twitter.

Although maybe they are just as horrified as all of us at what has played out here.

I hope that water was cold and little Josue did not suffer long. I don't believe there's any chance the little one is alive now. :(

This crime is sick beyond belief, what was that guy thinking seriously???!

20 years between brothers, was Roberto the only son until then? Jealousy? Was the 11 month old his favorite?

We don't know if he was alive when he was thrown in :(

I think I read she had 2 older sons from previous marriage or relationship. I'll try to find it.

It just seems so weird that a 25 yr old would be jealous of new little brothers. Why wouldnt he be out living his own life--consumed with girls and parties and jobs, not with what his mom is doing.

I honestly don't think he was trying to save the little one. Being in a dumpster would be a death sentence for an 11 month old if he was out in the elements or if the dumpster was emptied, as they use compactors in many area's. He's a beast! IMO

Ugh....this is just making my heart hurt....for that little boy, for the people who love him, I am praying so hard that he is alive, but sadly I don't think that is the case. If they are out searching a river after they talked to this guy, then it probably doesn't bode well for little Josue. So damn sick of people just throwing our children away, like they are nothing but trash. If you have your own issues fine, but keep these innocent children out of your issue!

If anyone wants to donate food to the search crews, police say to contact the Salvation Army. We're told they've had several offers.
