Or she took an Uber, but then things got weird and she ended up somewhere she had no intention of going.

I'm not convinced she took an uber - wouldn't there be evidence with Uber if she did?

I'm thinking someone came to her place and got her.

I’m hoping it would be easy enough to find out if she did Uber that night.

But good point that she could have got an Uber but not to her last known place.

It would be helpful to know if she did meet up with the woman on the date? I'm guessing not?

Lots of water on the south end of Wilber. Hopefully those are being checked carefully. :/

With all due respect, just because she was last seen or "pinged" in Wilbur doesn't mean she is still in that area. I think I'd head south/southwest from there and search other towns.

I agree, but if you’re thinking human trafficking or something similar, the route to Wilber doesn’t really make any sense. It’s not convenient to I-80 or I-29. Literally nothing happens in Wilber. It wouldn’t be a town you’d end up in if you were getting the heck out of somewhere.

One of the newest articles, with more information. One article says they women the she was "supposed" to go on a date with checked out okay, this article makes it sound like she did go on the date, and that the person is suspicious. I know the house they searched in Wilber, is owned by a Alan Koll, and has a walk out basement. It seems like there were a lot of police there for them to make it sound like it turned up to be nothing. Also, with Wilber being such a small town, there are a lot of sex offenders in the area. All of them are in walking distance, supposedly from where she was last saw.
So according to Lohr, she went on the first date with the woman one night, and on her second date with the woman the following evening, she went missing. Well that is hinky as f$!%@

Why twice? If it was trafficking, did something occur between 'date 1' and 'date 2' to make 'date 2' a go? Like finding a buyer? This makes no damn sense to me.

It appears she had such a great time with the woman, that they decided to see each other again. Nothing hinky, per me.
Maybe they both work weekends and couldn't meet then or maybe they were going to go visit someone.

I think the same. If she was planing to drink alcohol or smoke then maybe she wouldn’t drive.

But I do think that seems like an awful lot for an Uber and doubt she would pay that.

So I think maybe more picked up? Or bus? Train?

According to Uber, the estimate for a ride from Lincoln to Wilber is $58 to $78.00

Do we know the address she was last known to be at? I'd like to take a Google Map walk around the neighborhood, if possible.
Is is a residential area that my have home surveillance cameras on the homes around?
Is there a gas station on the corner with outdoor cameras?
Maybe they would show someone picking her up, or her walking.
I'm sure police have already checked (I hope, anyway) but this might be good information for us down the road.

600th block of West 7th St

I should have worded my post differently.
Ok, that's where the search took place, but where did she live?

She lived in Lincoln, 40 mins away, no address given. The searched house was the last reported sighting.

If she had taken an Uber, then we would have known it by now.

I don't think we can say that from where we are sitting...IMO. Not that I believe she did, anyway. But, I posted this estimate as the cost of an Uber was being discussed.

And why would that be? We are just the mere public, we are not owed anything. I'm sure there is a whole lot of information LE are not sharing with us.

What this case tells us is that we need laws, enacted on the Federal level, that any local police agency can immediately, without stupid delays, acquire the electronic data from these arrogant companies like Facebook, Tumblr, whatever, right away. If they fail to comply, their lawyers and security officers can and should be held liable in criminal court.

We need expedited electronic search warrants for the digital age. Two button clicks:

* Police officer or investigator requests information
* Judge scans request, approves or -- in a rare case, has questions, and asks for a face-to-face meeting
* Company like Facebook gives data immediately or faces civil and criminal penalties

I have no idea what happed to this poor woman, not even a guess. Godspeed, Sydney.

Yeah, that is the only way it actually makes sense. The sex trafficking makes no sense at all because... 2 dates. I'm going with LE's interpretation unless we hear something different.
