All good points, especially pointing out how messed up these two seem to be (from whatever it may be - drugs, sleep deprivation, etc.) I hope they didn't do anything to Sydney and that the 'sorry' is for how hard it must be for her family. They haven't been charged and even if they are, they are IUPG. Hoping Sydney is found and is safe. Hoping these two come clean or help out.

I do agree with OP that people who apologize for something tend to have guilty consciences and that could be the case.

Sorry so wishy-washy! So many things to think about.

Not crazy at all. The female POI is implying she dropped Sydney at a friend's house, as if it was someone who was truly a friend. But it could very well be a "friend" as in someone who wanted a female to be dropped off. If BB really did drop of Sydney at a "friend's" house, I do suspect it was for a business transaction (that BB set up), not because Sydney wanted to hang out with another friend after a date and before work.

People who manipulate others for their own gains don't really have friends. Those videos... pure conjuring and sleight-of-hand IMO. So yes, 'friend' could definitely mean business partner or client.

Exactly my point. I think that's why they came out with videos and all that arrogant altitude. I can't imagine them being guilty of causing SL harm and then posting videos on social media even is it is to say they are innocent. I could be wrong and they indeed are that stupid and arrogant.

What do you mean by "a business transaction"? Buying antiques, drugs or for something else that Sydney maybe didn't want to be part of?
 
Has anyone considered that Aubrey Trail pimps Bailey out, something went down with that (i.e., trying to get Sydney to work as an escort), or a drug deal type of thing gone bad, and they killed her? I had a strange encounter with someone that looked like Aubrey several years ago @ a casino in Council Bluffs, IA (for those not familiar, Council Bluffs is just across the river from Omaha)...I came around a corner and almost walked into a woman, who was very attractive, and noticed this guy watching from a few feet away, giving me a mean mug until he saw my brother-in-law, who is a huge guy, body builder, retired military, etc. Once he saw the two of us, he turned and went around to another aisle on the opposite side, just sitting at a slot machine, not playing but observing people in a creepy kind of way. I remember this because of the weird vibe I got from the two of them. I've seen hookers in casinos before, but this was different. I don't know that it was Aubrey, but I always remembered that, and have learned to listen to my intuition...

Yes. I think that is a part of the whole thing. Something is off there.

Aubrey stated he has a six figure/year eBay business dealing antiques. Another theory I’ve thought about (stemming from working in the banking industry), is that eBay can be used for money laundering. Perhaps the “antiques” business is some sort of front for another business (i.e. human trafficking). Just a thought...

I too, suspect that both Aubrey and Bailey probably wanted another woman to 'play' with (most likely at the urging of Aubrey), and Sydney unfortunately responded to Bailey's (Audrey's) on-line ad. I believe Sydney was most likely in the house hanging out with Bailey, and was taken by surprise when Aubrey all-of-a-sudden walked in, at which point Sydney was restrained and attacked (with the help of Bailey, of course). I have no doubt, though, that Aubrey and Bailey were clearly on the run afterward. And, yeah, it's a good presumption that Aubrey probably does pimp Bailey out...

Interesting update with FBI perspective. I didn't realize AT & BB were living together but then I scroll too fast most days. Hmmm...


After authorities identified*two "persons of interest" in the case last week, the two posted videos to Facebook and YouTube denying involvement in Loofe's disappearance.

A decade ago, such statements would have been made to friends or family or in a manifesto to the media, Dun said.

“Aspects of it are playing out in the public eye that you normally wouldn’t be seeing,” said Dun, who worked for the FBI for 30 years.

In the first video posted by the POI, Aubrey says the police raided and searched “their” house, that’s not the exact wording but it is heavily implied that they lived together.

My best guess is that it was taken down for harassment issues, the Facebook that most people were viewing for BB was an old Facebook, and nearly every post on the page was being commented on by Sydney supporters. The friends linked to the account were also being bothered, and the father of BBs child was also very annoyed because he was being perpetually bothered by people/media.
