Trail said he was in a room with Loofe and two other women, and that he was holding an unspecified object that restricted Loofe's breathing and — according to him — unintentionally caused her death. Boswell was not in the room, he said.

Why unspecified instead of simply saying Gag ball, Mask, Hood, Tape, etc?

Or is he seriously trying to allude to it being his own appendage?

Another of the many tall tales which girth this case.

"Maybe the real question for you that everyone is not asking, is why does law enforcement really not charge me?" says Trail.

We reached out to the FBI, who say the investigation is on going and that there are no updates or a timeline on when charges may be filed.

You're not in charge of the investigation, AT.

No one is impressed with you. LE will charge you when they charge you.

Nothing about SL but some info on their fraud charges.

According to the document, a witness told Lincoln police the witness went with Boswell to pick up a gun for Trail from an unknown man at a Walmart parking lot in Beatrice. The witness said the plan was to use the gun to rob and kill a coin dealer. It isn’t clear who the intended victim was.
The complaint then goes on about how Trail and Boswell pulled off their gold coin scam.

According to the documents, a different witness told the FBI Trail made her pose as a coin dealer, adding that Boswell created a website for the witness’s fake company.
One of the victims who says Trail and Boswell scammed him told authorities the two got him to pay for different expenses including what he thought was a plane ticket to fly Trail to Paris to sell the coin for $1 million.

Well, he's at it again. No new information but I'm just wondering what he hopes to accomplish by calling the media?

Beyond the outrageous narcissism and attention issues and control issues, he must be bored out of his mind. No long cons to run, no sexual fantasies to arrange, no lives to destroy... some people thrive on all chaos and must create drama to sustain themselves. The coin scam document reads like the script of a Lifetime movie.

Not related to SL directly but it certainly sheds light on how they use other people to run their scams!! I always suspected that they wanted to use Sydney in one of their fraudulent schemes. Either way, they exploited her and then threw her away like trash.

I question the Sydney narrative he is selling, maybe he is hiding something else.

One thing is obvious. Aubrey Trail gets other people to do all the heavy lifting. I expect that will be no different when it comes to the murder of Sydney. This is exactly the kind of thing I thought was going on. I still hold to my expectation that it was Bailey Boswell who killed Sydney and Aubrey Trail was not even there. I believe Sydney was killed in the immediate proximity of where her body was found.

You might be right! Any thoughts on motive??

Only thought I have is that Aubrey Trail wanted to know if Bailey would kill for him. Sydney may very well have been the test / practice run.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Cheryl Zwart said she interpreted Trail's letter, which hasn't been made public, as frustrations over being housed in Leavenworth, Kansas, and how that has made it more difficult for him to communicate with his court-appointed attorney in Lincoln.

"Am I correct in interpreting it that way?" she asked Trail, who sat at the defense table in orange Saline County jail clothes, his arms and legs in chains. "Yes, your honor, but," Trail started before Zwart cut him off. "Do not say anything at this time that is going to incriminate you. But go ahead," she said. Trail said: "I try to never incriminate myself."

But, he said, given that just 19 days remain until his scheduled trial in the fraud case and disagreements with his attorney, Korey Reiman, remain on the direction the case should take, he wanted to try to learn the rules of evidence in the jail's law library and represent himself.

Trail said if he is kept at the jail in Wilber he has access to all the books he would need. He said he knows his behavior there was an issue before, but if he's allowed to stay he will be on his "best behavior." "They will not have a single problem out of me," he said.

At the end of Wednesday's hearing, the judge decided not to make a decision yet so Trail has time to discuss the case with Reiman.

What is he referring to about his past behavior problems at Wilbur? What did he do? (Talk so much that it was considered torture to others?)

I'm not surprised he wants to represent himself, and I won't be surprised when he changes his mind again and takes a lawyer.

Edited to add: I am not surprised by him changing tactics because that's what manipulators do. They make complete changes from previous decisions - leaves everyone around them scrambling because of the new plans. He'll keep doing stunts like this, is my prediction.

BBM. Every once in a while the truth comes from Aubrey's lips. What he does try to do is bait people into making mistakes. That is how his con game usually works - see if someone is willing to call his bluffs. Would not surprise me in the slightest if his casino play is at the poker tables. Also wouldn't surprise me if Bailey helped him at that too. Of course, all of this is merely my opinion.

So, of course, the Judge did not give a date on her decision?? Trial to start March 26th.

TIA!

He wants to represent himself because he can't keep his mouth shut in court imo.

I think you're right about him not shutting up in jail- he can obviously talk the hind legs of a donkey.
